This Sassy Seahorse cottage is a wonderful budget-friendly option for your family and canine companion. On a quiet side street just a short drive south of downtown Surf City’s family-friendly businesses, this updated cottage offers space to hang out inside in the comfortable living area or out on the covered porch. Enjoy listening to the ocean waves as they crash on the beach in hearing distance of this charming bungalow. The nearby restricted beach access is a short walk away in sight of the house. Surf City’s Family Park on the sound side complete with a walking pier over the marsh, picnic area, basketball court, and children’s playground is just a block away.

We had a great time at Sassy Seahorse. The location was perfect - a quick walk across the street to the beach and close to plenty of restaurants and shops. The house had everything we needed for our 10 day stay.

Great place for family vacation

We stayed here with our four children, and didn’t have a single issue. Check-in was simple, the place was clean and stocked, and we all had a great time. We would definitely stay here again.

Great property

Everything was great here. The beach access was very close to walk to and the playground and pier by the intercoastal waterway were close as well. And it was a short drive or longer walk to everything else in Surf City.

Nice place needs tlc

Easy to rent and check in. Old gross sponge and scrub brush. 1 sharp knife. 1 knife with broken tip. Dirty rag in master bath. Master bedroom mattress old and very soft. Really?

🌊🌞🐚

We absolutely loved it!! Very clean, comfortable and cozy! We could not have had a better week unless we were able to stay for another one. Perfectly located could always hear the waves and such easy access to the beach. Thank you we will be back 🐚🌞🌊

Needs some updating, and better cleaning

Refrigerator is small and has stains all over the front of it. Dog hair everywhere, carpets and couches! The location is nice however because of the cleanliness we will not be staying again.

Great value

Great value for 2 of us and our dog. Premium location near Surf City/bridge/restaurants and steps from the beach with easy private access. The deck with rockers were enjoyable. Could use a little tlc, some blinds, and landscaping. If you have a pet beware of the low lying cactus around the property. Overall a great stay!

Property was close to the beach , could hear the waves. House was clean but in need of upkeep and repair on the outside. Electric work must be needed as number of outlets covered with duck tape and many of lights not working.

The location of the house was great, a very short walk to the beach. The house could use a coat of paint inside and out as well as some landscaping, but overall it was a good experience and everything in the house worked well.

Sun and fun for a three generation family at Sassy Seahorse

Our three generation family of four members recently enjoyed a happy stay of one week at Sassy Seahorse, where we found comfort and all the necessary amenities in this well appointed house. Great location at a very short walk to the beach, as well as a just slightly longer stroll to the beautiful marsh area of Surf City are some of the attractions of this property. We could not have been happier.

Perfect!

We loved Sassy Seahorse! It was a cute little house, perfect for just the 5 of us and our dog. It is as close to the beach as you can get without actually staying on the beach. I think we counted 100 steps from the property to the private beach entrance. We would definitely rent this home again.

Great beach getaway!

The house was lovely! Very clean, bright, and comfy for our family of 4. We loved how close it was to the beach. An easy walk with 2 children and all of the beach gear. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch in the evenings listening to the waves. The location was perfect for quick trips to the grocery store or the needed shopping excursions for additional beach gear. A wonderful experience for our first time to Surf City!
