Luxury Log Home at the Sugar Shack at Lake Goshorn

Sugar Shack is a gorgeous 2400 sq ft luxury log home! (Sat to Sat full weeks only late June-Aug). Don't be fooled by other cabins crowded with 40+ homes near interstate noise! Goshorn Lake is perfect for swimming / fishing. Enjoy your genuine log cabin with 3-levels of living & luxury amenities (gourmet kitchen, central A/C, wood fireplace, pool table, patio with gas grill, home theatre system, & private hot tub on screened-in porch and fire pit).

Hidden Dunes is a 16 cabin community tucked into quiet woods on south shore of pristine, spring-fed Goshorn Lake, just 1.5 miles from downtown Saugatuck. Home is finished in natural pine throughout & decorated with quality furnishings and local artwork.

Relax at the large association dock and swimming platform or bring a picnic lunch to the sandy beach. A canoe with life jackets and paddles is avail free for your use. Venture to unlimited activities in the area or retreat to oversized porches for a rocking chair and good book Walk to ice cream shop and excellent dining at Clearbrook Golf Club (public). The Sugar Shack always brings sweet times and fond memories to your family or group.

Everything was clean and very comfortable. We loved the fireplace and the hot tub. The lake was a very short distance yet it would be helpful to have the canoe/kayak at the lake rather than the home. Otherwise everything was perfect and Todd was a wonderful host!!! He even checked in with us to see that we had everything we needed!

We absolutely loved our stay in Sugar Shack! This was the cleanest cabin I have ever stayed in, literally immaculate! Todd was beyond amazing to work with and extremely responsive! Great location on such a cute and quiet street. The beds were extremely comfortable… even the toilet paper was good quality (not the usual cheap toilet paper in most rentals, lol). The only cons were: a small tv in living room, no tvs in bedrooms, and the jacuzzi jets were very weak. But despite the cons, we plan to return to this exact cabin due to the cleanliness, location and the host being so responsive!

Love the Sugar Shack

This is the third time my family has stayed at Hidden Dunes. First time in the Sugar Shack. Loved it. Very clean, well-maintained, nicely appointed and fun play space in the basement. Plan to come again.

Nice stay at the cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Unfortunately our weather was not great, and we would have had SO much more to do if it was warm. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and the cabin was very spacious. They provided firewood and all the necessities for cooking. We would definitely stay again! Thanks for hosting!!

The PERFECT COZY Cabin!

Everything about our stay at the Sugar Shack in Saugatuck was incredible! The cabin is nestled among other cabins and glorious fall foliage. The property was spotless and had everything needed to enjoy a quiet and rejuvenating weekend. My kids loved the hot tub after hours of walking in the woods. Todd is professional and a pleasure to correspond with. He reached out to make sure we made it into town, were having a nice time and provided updates for our stay. This truly is a special place!

Tulip Festival

3 of my sisters, my daughter and I stayed for the tulip festival in Holland. Gave 4 stars rather than 5, only because we had a couple of minor issues. The host was very quick to respond and make sure we were happy with the rest of our stay. The house is in a great location and we enjoyed our stay. Did not take advantage of the hot tub, but that was our choice.

Girls Week

Six friends came up and stayed at the Sugar Shack Log Home. Beautiful house in a beautiful wooded private community; 5-10 minute walk to Lake Goshorn. This house has everything you need and more to have a great getaway! Todd, the owner, is super nice and responds quickly to any questions you may have. Don’t hesitate to rent this one for your next getaway!

Great Cabin!

My husband and I took our two girls 7 and 3 for a spring break get-a-way. The cabin is very clean and spacious and we had fun playing pool and using the hot tub. Lots of cute shops and restaurants close by in Saugatuck and lots of kids activities in Holland. Would highly recommend!

Perfection!

We stayed at the sugar shack for two nights in February for a quick weekend getaway. The cabin was deceivingly huge!!! So much space. We could have brought all 5 of our kids and been comfortable. Todd was great with communication and was extremely accommodating. I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to the Saugatuck area.

Beautiful cabin, quiet area and yet close to all the area attractions! We took family pictures at Oval beach and shopped downtown Saugatuck! Todd was an amazing Host and replied quickly to our questions! We will definitely be returning to create more family memories!

Great week

We stayed at the sugar shack the week of the Fourth of July. It was in a nice quiet community of log cabins with a short walk to lake goshorn a very quiet little lake with a communal dock and beach that was very nice. It also had good proximity to local beaches and my 5 year old would highly recommend the dune rides at the end of the street.

Pre-Fourth getaway

Had a great stay at the Sugar Shack! Everything was perfect and cozy, a great place to unwind in the woods next to a fire or in the hot tub. Played pool in the basement, grilled out multiple nights, fished in Lake Goshorn, swam in Michigan at Oval Beach, sampled restaurants and breweries around Saugatuck and Douglass. Dune buggy ride was a major highlight. Wildfire haze was present all week but we barely noticed in the woods. We'll definitely be back again
