We want to make sure you have the utmost convenience! You'll be provided an access code to the main entrance prior to check-in. We can be reached by phone, text, or email, during the duration of your stay.
The house is located in the heart of the New River Valley and is just miles from the New River Trail State Park. The neighborhood, with a private road, features about a dozen homes on the upper portion of Claytor Lake. You're only about 2 miles upriver from the Lowman's Ferry "Lighthouse" Bridge. The house sits directly on Claytor Lake with a dock for your own private access to the water. About 40 minutes to Virginia Tech and Radford University, 25 Minutes from Draper Valley Golf Club, and about 4 miles to the Boy Scout's Camp Blue Ridge Scout Reservation. There are also many wineries and breweries throughout the area including Iron Heart which is only 8 miles from the house. The area is great for a summer lake vacation, a fall get-away to enjoy the beautiful fall colors, or a peaceful winter retreat.
All areas of the house, decks, and dock are open for access to guests. The dock available for use by renters and their guests for sun-bathing and swimming, there is space for renters to dock their own boat.
The house also has a Charcoal grill available for guests to use, please bring your own charcoal as we cannot be sure previous guest left any.
This 1 bedroom 1 bathroom, 1 story house features sleeping arrangements for up to 4 people. The bungalow features one tastefully decorated bedroom, furnished with a luxurious king-size bed, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of adventure. The bedroom is designed with your comfort in mind, providing a tranquil atmosphere to recharge and rejuvenate.
In addition to the spacious bedroom, Blackberry Bungalow boasts a well-appointed bathroom, complete with modern amenities and all the essentials you need for your stay. Fresh towels and complimentary toiletries are provided for your convenience.
The living area of the bungalow is designed with an open concept, providing a seamless flow between the cozy living room, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen. The living room features a comfortable queen-size sleeper sofa, accommodating up to four guests in total. Sink into its plush cushions and unwind while watching your favorite shows on the flat-screen TV.
The home features a king bed in the master bedroom, along with a queen sofa-bed located in the living space. Outdoor seating with a table for 4 and two lounge chairs. The dock is provided with rental and is available for use by renters and their guests for sun-bathing and swimming, there is space for renters to dock their own boat.
The kitchen is filled with plenty of plates, drinkware, cookware, and items to make your stay comfortable including a Blender, Coffee Maker (regular and Keurig), and Toaster. The laundry room is equipped with not only the washer and the dryer but also has some cleaning supplies if needed: Broom & Dust Pan, Mop & Bucket, laundry detergent, etc.
You're only 9 miles from I-81. There is a public boat lunch/gas station & convenience store is just a few miles away! Parking is available in the driveway of the house.
*Great news! The dock has been fully rebuilt and is now ready for your enjoyment. Whether you're relaxing by the water or heading out for a swim, the lakefront is all yours to explore!*
The water off of the dock is 5-7 feet deep and is great for swimming! There is a sand bar about 40ft off of the dock that keeps boats from the main channel from coming near the dock.

Propane (for grill):
1. There MAY BE a propane tank available at the house.
2.If you see a tank, you may use it for the grill.
3.If the tank is empty, guests are responsible for refilling it.
4.We DO NOT provide propane refills.
