Lyons 12 - Pet friendly and steps to the beach

This home is a sunny, family-friendly 4 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom relaxation spot. It is located on the quieter, north end of Hilton Head just off of Port Royal.

The home features a large porch overlooking the common area containing a pool and two gas grills. Guests enter into a great room with TV, sofas, a large dinning area, and kitchen with granite countertops and radiant heat cooktop. A powder room is conveniently located just past the kitchen. A washer and dryer are also in a separate laundry room with space to dry beach towels.

All bedrooms are master suites with private baths. The main floor suite features a king bed, walk-in shower, separate tub, walk-in closet, and double sink vanity area. The upstairs bedrooms feature one with a king bed and shower/tub combo, one with two queen beds and shower/tub, and one with two bunk beds (twin over full) and a double shower. A loft area at the top of the stairs features a double sleeper sofa and TV.

The Lyons complex is small and only contains 12 townhomes clustered around the pool area. Directly out the beach access gate with a short 4 to 6 minute walk is a town-managed beach park with beach house, playground for the kids, a well-maintained beach access, and a guarded beach area during the summer months.

Excellent property and location!

The home was spacious and so close to a beach park with beach access. The pool was a plus! Ken, the property manager, reached out to us two days into our stay to make sure everything was going well. There is so much to do close by- movie theaters, shopping, and restaurants! But we spent most of our time at the beach and pool! I highly recommend this property!

Great location

Our family rents more than one property at the lions in Port Royal. This is the second year we’ve rented this unit and highly recommend it to anyone else. It is so near the beach and also a nice children’s playground. The owner is responsive to any needs. You may have and even offers tips for things to do while at HH.

Lasting Memories

It’s family tradition to stay the week of Easter in HH, and this year we stayed at Ken’s house! We’ve bounced around all the possible places in Port Royal over the years, but I believe Ken’s place is the place for us now! We traveled with young kids this year, 1 & 2, so finding a place with easy access to the beach was important for us. The house is an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. Over the past 5 years we’ve struggled with booking a rental with enough space for the entire group, but Ken’s house is very spacious. The house is 10 STARS all the way, and the owner Ken is also extremely welcoming and friendly! You literally feel like you’re at a friend’s house, which is truly a blessing to have during the stay!

Perfect Getaway!

We were quite happy with all this property had to offer. Very well-equipped home with large porch facing a playground and pool. It was a short, easy walk to the beach; lots of beach toys provided by the owner. Comfy furnishings!!

Family Trip

While it's very appreciated this is a pet friendly home, the cleaning prior to our arrival left much to be desired. The showers and bathrooms had mold, the floors were dirty, items (small toys) were found under one of the beds. It was a bit difficult to cook some meals with the lack of decent pans. While we don't go to the beach to watch TV the streaming/very slow wifi and set up for each TV was horrible on a rainy day. We do love staying at The Lyons for the pool and close proximity of the beach. This particular unit is in need of updating/refreshing but that is probably difficult with a pet friendly property.

Great location and relaxing environment

We were happy with the close proximity to the beach, close to the free trolly stop, and close to the Westin if you wanted a bar and restaurant within walking distance. The home was a lot more spacious than we initially thought through the online pictures. The pool was very nice as well.

Clean and well lit, but lack of TVs

No TV in bunkbed room. TV not working in 2 double bed room. No access to news or sports on other TVs. The teens needed separate spaces. We coped, but there was a rain day and a cold day. We needed down time apart. The "loft" was a hallway walk through space to other bedrooms. We enjoyed the updated laundry room and kitchen. Everything was very clean and well lit. There were no extra linens. We appreciated the gate on the porch for the dog. The walk to the beach was a little more than a few steps, more like 1/2 a mile. The host was quick to answer questions before our stay. I guess I didn't ask the right questions.

Family Vacation

We had 7 adults and seven children. As it turned out my wife and I had the main floor master and each of my three children had a bathroom suite for each family. Proximity to golf as well as the ocean was great. The heated pool was especially nice since the weather wasn’t what we had hoped for Couple of drawbacks during our stay. Road entering the complex was in poor condition. And, we had a minor issue with hot water in the Master shower and in the bedroom above us

HHI Vacation

Had a great time in Hilton Head. The townhome was spacious enough for the 11 of us and the beach was easily accessible via a short 5 minute walk. It was nice having the pool so close on those days we didn’t feel like going to the beach. Great location to restaurants as well. We would rent here again!

Wonderful Family Spot

This was perfect for a wonderful week with family! The house is roomy with a great floor plan for adults and kids. The house is equipped with plenty of utensils and cookware, along with other needed items. The host responds to questions very quickly and is most helpful. The beach is beautiful and truly just a short walk from the house. The pool area is also just steps away and very clean and nice. The stay at Lyons 12 was a fun experience for all of us!

Great location and place for families

The location in Port Royal is ideal for families who want easy access to the beach and pool time. Islanders Beach Park, which is a great park, is a less than 5 minute walk and the pool is literally steps away. The floor plan provides lots of room for a large group. We experienced a few problems, but the owner was very responsive and we were able to schedule a handyman around our schedule.

This spot was perfect for our stay. The location was very convenient and family friendly. It was nice to have a pool that belonged just to the Lyons complex. The pool was very quiet and kept very clean. The owner is very friendly and easy to communicate with. We very much enjoyed our stay!

First Entire Family Vacation
