The home, aptly named "Awesome Sunsets," features 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, offering ample space for relaxation and entertainment. The main level showcases an updated kitchen, sunroom with an office area, dining area, and family room—ideal for gatherings or quiet moments. Step outside onto the new full-length deck, complete with lighting, a grill area, and covered seating, perfect for enjoying the breeze and sunset views.

The home was so quiet and peaceful. We stayed for a weekend, 3 adults and one teen. The house is very roomy, could easily accommodate a large group. The views were breathtaking. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking and swimming in the lake. We rented a boat for a day and everyone enjoyed that as well. We spent a lot of time on the dock which was awesome. Overall it was a relaxing weekend at a super nice house. Would definitely stay here again.

Communication was great and check-in and out was very easy. We absolutely loved the lake view from the house and boat dock. The boat dock is lovely! No TV and the refrigerator didn't seem to be working but perhaps that was due to being off season. We didn't use the fire pit because of the weather but it was set up nicely with chairs and previous renters had left firewood. The kitchen is nicely equipped with 2 refrigerators (3rd refrigerator is in basement), plenty of dishes, and everything you need to prepare meals. The kids loved the arcade games and pool table downstairs which was great since the weather wasn't the best. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent this house again.

Great time at Awesome Sunsets

Location of house on the lake was perfect. The dock house sold us on the rental and did not disappoint from the view to the shaded areas and tiki bar with fridge plus a closet filled with water toys, wonderful! We have already booked here for next summer!

Fantastic location!

The dock and location were fantastic! Beautiful sunsets The house was well suited for our group of 9 and we loved all the indoor games for when the group needed a break from the water. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice house in a great location!

The interior of the home was clean but the exterior was not clean at all. We had to clean what it seemed to be weeks/months worth of dirt and grime away from any area we planned to use. Sorry, we did not take pictures but wish we had. We only stayed (2) nights. Great location and overall amenities. The owner seems to strictly in it for the ROI

Merry Christmas at the Lake!

Loved our Lake Gaston stay. My family has always had lake gatherings since I was a little girl and this was the perfect way to continue this tradition with my children and grandchild. Amazing location! Serene, quiet, awesome sunsets. House was fantastic. Game room brought back childhood memories. Even as a December rental with colder weather, the house and lake was great for our Christmas family gathering. Would definitely consider renting again. Thank you!

Truly Awesome Sunsets

We thoroughly enjoyed this property. Fires, fishing, cards, pool, ping pong, boating, family meals and perfect weather. Even with 66 degree water temp we tubed and water skied! Plenty of kitchen supplies, plenty of room for all our food. Our dogs loved the dock and the yard. We will be back!

Great House and location

We loved our stay at this house! The location was perfect and the views from the house and the dock were beautiful. The house had plenty of space for everyone, including the dogs! The gated porch was great to keep the dogs in. Everything was clean and neat. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Sunsets

Our family has been going to Lake Gaston for about 15 years & this Lake house is definitely one of our favorites ! It was very comfortable, clean ,well-stocked ! We loved the dock ,sunsets were amazing ! We enjoyed the firepit ,making S'mores & just sitting around it talking & having a drink ! Best of all being able to have our Fur Babies with us made everything PERFECT!!

One last hoorah

One last trip hoorah before school starts. This place was great. Probably better than pictured and described. We had 8 adults and 6 kids 6 and under. There was plenty of room to play and sleep. House was clean and well stocked. Boat house is amazing and also well stocked with water skis,tubes,ropes,life jackets pool noodles like I’ve never seen, and fishing poles. Sunsets were amazing. We rented a pontoon from stonehouse timber lodge. The lady that runs it is great. It’s about a 25 minute boat ride back to the house. The cove the house is on is big and wasn’t very busy during our stay. Our only issue was that we couldn’t stay longer. Would love to do it again! Thanks for sharing your home!

Great Place, Nice Location on the Lake

We had a great time here. Brought our boat and tied up at the dock. The house is located in a protected area from the main lake and we had a great time hanging out on the water. House is well stocked with water toys, so be sure to check them out. Listing is as described and the house is well maintained. Definitely recommend.

LOVE THIS HOUSE

The house was very clean and in a quiet part of the lake. The owner worked with us on our check-in needs, which was much appreciated. The basement in particular is a very nice space and great to gather after a day in the sun.

My family and our friends live in MD. We met our sons who live in NC. The house was perfect for our group of 12. It is very spacious with lots of seating. The covered boat deck was awesome since our weather wasn’t great. The amenities were as advertised and there were a lot. We had a great weekend and would definitely go back.

Peace and quiet

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Awesome Sunsets. The kitchen is fully stocked and I cooked every night. Even though it was just the two of us, this place is great to share with family! The two separate living areas would allow for some great family fun playing pool and games while also providing some personal space. The view from the boat dock was a little slice of heaven. We could truly see ourselves living lake life on a more permanent basis. The hosts have really outdone themselves with all the little touches to make any length of stay a memorable one.
