  • Located only 10 minutes (by foot!) from downtown Clayton is your private wooded retreat. A charming 2 bedroom home with large front porch with space to relax and recharge. All the amenities and an amazing location make this the perfect spot for a quick getaway or a leisurely vacation.
    Living room, dining room and kitchen are an open floor plan with comfortable spaces for relaxing, dining and cooking up a great meal. Large screen TV with netflix, amazon and hulu as well as DVDs galore - plus a record player with plenty of vintage vinyl. Lots of puzzles, books and games are in the dining room and of course fast Wifi.
    Kitchen is equipped with new appliances and all the plates, cookware and accessories you could need including Nespresso machine for lattes and espressos. Plenty of pantry space if you plan a long vacation. No dishwasher, but double sink makes dishwashing easy, not to mention the great view of the private back yard from the sink.
    Rear bedroom has two comfortable twin beds with memory foam mattresses. Front bedroom has new king bed with memory foam. Both bedrooms have dressers and large closets.
    Bathroom has shower tub combo, single vanity and new commode.
    Front porch is screened with space for dining or relaxing. Views of front yard filled with azaleas and greenery. Rear yard is accessible from dining room. Lots of space to explore, watch for deer or listen to woodpeckers. Set up your hammock and find the perfect resting place.
    Dogs are welcome with prior approval and payment of pet fee.

The location was perfect for getting into town. We were happy it wasn't on top of one of the very steep mountain sides!!! It felt very homey the way it was decorated. We loved using the record player and listening to a variety of albums. It was nice also that we were able to bring our dogs with us. Once again FANTASTIC location and very private.

Cozy Clayton Cottage

This was our second stay at this property. The house is so conveniently located to downtown, so privately surrounded by trees & bushes, & the decor is lovely. Enjoyed our stay & will return every time we visit Clayton!

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was everything we needed for our two week stay. Being close to downtown Clayton was great for easy access to Main Street activities. Would stay again!

Paradise

An adorable cottage that is private. Deer visits are so special and it’s in walking distance to the quaint downtown. I couldn’t have been more relaxed in this charming cottage. The owners are great and respect your privacy .

Quiet, beautiful wooded property. House had everything we needed for our week long stay. Conveniently located to great grocery and several nearby state parks. Our dog had a great time, too.

We have stayed at this property before. Love that is close to downtown Clayton, even though you feel like you are secluded in the woods. The kitchen is well equipped, even though we never cook! The only issue we had this time, was that the wi-fi went offline several times. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect for Clayton

My husband and I loved spending our anniversary weekend at the cabin. It was near Clayton but in a pocket of trees so that it feels like you are all by yourself. We want to stay here again :)

Fantastic bungalow in a great location!

We loved the house…the decor, the front porch, the privacy, and the location. Internet was great, and we loved walking to town. We’d go back! Plus Clayton was a fantastic small town with amazing food everywhere we went. Great all around experience!

Adorable cabin, fab location!

We will be back. Had a fantastic getaway to Clayton and loved the cabin! This was a perfect spot for my husband and I and our two kids. I would also come back for a girls weekend!

Great place to stay

We had a great time at the Rabun Retreat. Everything was as described in the listing. The property was very clean and fully equipped with lots of towels and kitchen utensils. The house was very nicely appointed. The best thing is the price. you won't find another property this nice for this price.

Close to downtown and easy drive to Lake Burton.

We stayed here so as not to overcrowd our family home at Lake Burton. Location is great, cabin as advertised. Wi-Fi signal was strong enough for online meetings and conferences. Easy to jog and get around.

The home had everything you could need. The property manager was very responsive. 11am check-out was nice surprise. Beds very comfortable. Firepit and grill were great. Just a great little town nearby, while still feeling like you're in a very remote area.

2nd time we have stayed here while we were racing our JRT’s at the Rabun county Arena. Property is well maintained. Gives you that woodsy feel but is in walking distance to downtown Clayton.

April 19-21

This is our 4th stay at this rental and as always, it is just what we need. Close to everything but peaceful and quiet. It also has everything you need to prep for meals, make coffee and sit out under the trees and listen to nature. It is clean and perfect for our weekend stays. Will rent again for our next trip to Clayton.
