The house was very nice, just as advertised and the surroundings were peaceful and remote and only 10 mins fron Watkins Glen. Most everything you might need for a 4 to 7 day stay was available. I would say my only complaint was the sulfur smell of the well water. If i was the owner, id be looking into a serious charcoal filtration system. If your used to city water, you're going to have issue with this properties water supply. We made due with plenty of bottled drinking water, but washing dishes, taking showers etc was unpleasant.

Fun and Comfortable Family Getaway

This was a perfect location for our family trip. The house was easily accessible, clean, comfortable and close to all the places you wish to visit in the area! We really appreciate all of the updated touches to the house and the variety of outdoor options (seating, fire pits, lake activities).

Perfect for a wedding weekend

Wonderful property & a great location! It was perfect for a wedding event at the Fontainebleau Inn, as there was a trail to get to the venue within walking distance. The view was wonderful, and the game room was an added bonus!

Great house!

Our family of 6 adults had a great stay during Cornell graduation weekend. All required amenities provided and just a 30 minute drive to Ithaca and campus. Perfect for our needs.

Beautiful home, beautiful location

Our group had a great stay here, the home is more beautiful than the pictures. Watkins Glen was only ~20 minutes away. We didn't get the chance to go down to the lake but the view was great. The deck had plenty of space and we liked the fire pit. The host instructions were clear and responsive. Thank you for.a wonderful stay!

Finger Lakes getaway

We had a wonderful stay here with extended family, including 4 young children. The home was clean and comfortable. We were able to travel easily to surrounding locations such as Watkins Glen. Would definitely recommend!

Great stay

The house was nice and clean. Great for a group trip and had a hot tub which we didn’t realize so that was a nice surprise. Small issue with the fridge but the host was responsive and helped us get it resolved.

This was a great rental! I'd return if back in the area

Overall impression was highly favorable! The kitchen was well equipped with cookware, bakeware, utensils, plates, glassware etc. There was even an extra counter top ice maker (in addition to the one in the fridge) which was very useful for our beverages. The bedrooms had good pillows, comfortable beds. Bathrooms had good quality towels. All the furniture was nice, and furnishings/ decor were tasteful. We were able to use the kayaks on the lake access which was a lot of fun. Grill worked well, as did the fire ring on the deck. We also made use of the fire pit in the yard which was nice (you do have to bring your own wood but not a big deal). The board games were fun on the one rainy afternoon however the star of the rainy day activities were the tournaments played on the Ms Pacman / Galaga and on the hockey table. The owner was very responsive! We had a few minor glitches but nothing major that interfered with our stay. As I think others mentioned, there was a slight odor to the water despite the filtration system. It didn’t bother us but one should be aware.

Beautiful house

Family reunion weekend

We love this lake house on Cayuta Lake…. We have rented it a couple of times and will rent it again. The lake access is improved since last year which makes it easier to launch kayaks, fish, and relax down by the lake. The large front yard is conducive to yard games, s’mores and easy summer living! It’s just a lovely place!!

Friends chilling

Neighbors great, space great, cleaniness great. Great access to the water with dock. The only 2 things I would suggest is to let your guests know there is only access to house via stairs (which you may have & I missed) & fix the ice maker in the frig. Otherwise all great.

Fun Friends Getaway

The house was very nice and seemed to be recently updated! It was a good location with a good view of the lake. Just a few suggestions of things we noticed that may be helpful to fix before future guests arrive: the bedroom and bathroom doors all seem to stick and are noisy to open and close. There are no bedside lamps which would be nice for before bed readers as we all were. There were no mirrors in the bedrooms which would have been helpful in our case with 6 adults and only 2 bathrooms. This is definitely more of a suggestion as we ladies found it difficult to do hair and makeup without monopolizing the bathroom. Overall we found the house very nice and would stay there again!

Finger Lakes area visit with family

This home worked well for our 10 family members. Home was recently remodeled. Bed mattresses were very comfortable. Washer & Dryer and outside fire pit were nice amenities.
