Charming and Immaculate - Walkable to Beach and Town - Sleeps 10

  • We've provided all the comforts of home on 'The Garden Island' of Kauai, one of the world's most spectacular settings. This charmingly furnished house with traditional Hawaiiana decor and lanais is surrounded by a lush tropical garden. The house is perfect for multiple or extended families and features two deluxe master bedroom suites which include private en suite bathrooms and king beds. A standard master with a California King bed has a private bathroom and the two remaining bedrooms share a bathroom.

    You will seldom need your car after arriving as both the beach and charming Hanalei Town are within walking distance with its excellent restaurants, lively night spots, and shopping. The house is at the end of a quiet cul de sac, away from traffic. Only a block and a half away is the world-famous, crescent-shaped Hanalei Bay, ranked by National Geographic Traveler as one of the top ten beaches in the world. This exceptional setting can only be reached over a quaint one lane bridge that connects beautiful taro fields to a lush rain forest.

    We are strictly limited to ten guests of any age or size -- babies are not exempted, sorry.

    This home is a vacation rental and guests should not expect the same amenities as at a hotel including toiletries, comestibles and other supplies. We start our guests off with some hand soap and toilet paper for their arrival but otherwise it is not practical to offer supplies for the duration of their stay.

    Please note: The house does not have air conditioning. Like many homes in Hanalei, this house was designed to take advantage of Kauai’s natural breezes. Screened roof ventilation lets warm air flow upward and out, while ceiling fans in the bedrooms and/or additional portable fans are provided to keep the air moving. Most guests find that the fresh trade winds, combined with the home’s open design, create a true island-living experience.

    We accept reservations up to one year in advance.

    The residence is located in a tsunami inundation zone. In the event of a tsunami, evacuation information is posted in the residence.

    For stays over 14 nights, guests will be charged 366.49, tax included, for a mid-stay clean.

Location was excellent and place was super comfortable to hang out with the whole family. Yard was nice and big enough for our 2yo to run around safely. Easy walk to town and beach.

Unbeatable location to enjoy world-famous Hanalei Bay and all that the quaint and hip Hanalei town has to offer. House is solidly built so it’s quiet and is well stocked in the kitchen (even an array of spices). The sliding glass doors on the lanai open to offer 3 long walls of screening to let fresh air in all day long. Beach gear was appreciated and a great wagon to assist in hauling gear to the beach access a couple houses down. Walk everywhere and return to spacious, comfortable and “islandy” accommodations here. We usually stay in Princeville but we’re converted Hanalei people now!

We had a wonderful stay, and hope to be back. The location is unbeatable -- 3 minutes to the beach and 5 minutes to Hanalei town by foot -- and we especially loved the large, equipped kitchen and the two enormous primary bedrooms with en suite bathrooms! Smooth and easy to check in and out, and great communication throughout the stay. Thank you!

This property is wonderful and a slice of “old” Kauai! It is equipped with great spaces for families. Kitchen is open format which was nice too.very short walk to the Hanalei Bay beach and was perfect for young children. I wish we could have stayed longer but we were there in a heatwave.

Taj Ma Hale

Very comfortable house, and a very short walk to the beach, perfect location for kids. Also short walk to town, perfect location for adults! House is well-equipped, great kitchen, house is laid out well for lots of people, with beautiful views out the back. Also a closet of beach equipment including a cart, umbrellas, toys, etc. We had a great stay!

The location is INCREDIBLE. It was the best location for a family. We were able to get up and have breakfast together and then head down to the beach with the freedom for any one of us to walk down and grab something to eat or head back to the house for a break from the sun. We could all do as we wanted without relying on one rental car taking all of us to one spot and everyone stuck with that spot for the day. The host was great at communicating, sending me all the information we needed, including a way to reach to the cleaners to coordinate check in. Just a great spot!

Relaxing kauai vaca

We loved the proximity of the house to Hanalei Bay Beach & the town. It was a super short easy walk!! The House was a perfect layout for our extended family of 8. The open kitchen, living/Dining layout was great!!

Hanging out in Hanalei

Everything worked out great! The housekeeper, Gina, was very helpful before check in, answering questions we had and even getting a infant stroller for us. Location is great, close to town and beach. The house is well equipped with what we needed for cooking and beaching! We want to go again.

House in Hanalei

Location is awesome. We were a block from Hanalei Bay and a few blocks from town. We could walk to every thing. The house was nice for our family. They had all the essentials you needed for the beach. The kitchen was fully equipped. Fans for the rooms. We loved our stay.Nancy Stivers
