Mullica River Cottage - Waterfront in Sweetwater, NJ Pine Barrens

Cozy 1BR cottage nestled directly on the Mullica River. Kitchen and living space feature full glass windows to enjoy the beautiful river view. Uniquely designed kitchen features a gas range top, microwave, convection countertop toaster oven, toaster, refrigerator, and dishwasher.

Bedroom is equipped with a queen bed and the living room has a pull out sofa(full). This home can fit 4 guests. It is Approx 550 sq ft. The sofa pull out is in the main living space.

Sit out on the back deck overlooking the Mullica River while enjoying a freshly brewed cup of coffee or cold beverage. In the summer months, the fireflies light up the pines for an evening treat. In the cooler months, roast marshmallows over an open fire right on the river in the backyard recessed fire pit. We have wood on site. Please leave your own firewood at home. Back deck features a Weber gas grill (we provide propane).

No dock access here for boating, but we are minutes from Crowley's Landing Boat launch and Sweetwater Marina and Riverdeck-both equipped with boat ramps.

Verizon cell service in the area is top notch; other service providers will be unreliable, unless on wifi.

The cottage has WiFi and a Smart TV enabled with Netflix. If you prefer to unplug, there are books, magazines, board games, and puzzles located throughout the cottage.

Guest Use of any/all amenities are at your own risk. This includes but is not limited to: kayaks/paddles, swimming in the river, fishing, tubing, fire pit, etc. this applies to all guests in your party.

Our property offers direct backyard Mullica River access for swimming, fishing, tubing and kayaking. There are multiple kayaks and 1 canoe on site for guest use.

The cottage sits on a (1) acre parcel with another detached cottage rental that is used by the owner part time. The outdoor common areas are shared.

Gina was an awesome host!

Everything was so well explained prior to arrival, we did not have to contact Gina with any questions. Check-in/out was a breeze, and everything in the cottage was super easy to find. The property was well-kept. My one con is that the rug in the living room sheds quite a bit and stuck to our socks, but not enough to put a dent in our 5-star review. 😊 The binoculars and birdwatching book were a nice touch and came in handy when entertaining our toddler. We created some great family memories here. My only regret is forgetting to sign the gues book!

Perfect Cottage

We were in town for a wedding. Gina's cottage was perfect! The kayaks on the property were our favorite part; it was so relaxing to have immediate access to the river and boats. We enjoyed everything about the property, including the farm fresh eggs left for us :) We picked up local blueberry honey in Hammonton that is a must! The town is known as the blueberry capital of the world. It was fun to explore, especially the antique stores. We will be back!!

Perfect Place

Gina was so incredibly kind and set up the property so beautifully! You can tell how much thought she put into it, even down to locally sourced eggs for you! My boyfriend and I stayed for a week and absolutely loved it. The location is perfectly quiet and tucked away, and the surrounding area is all beautiful farmland. Thank you so much for a great trip!

Perfection on the river

The Mullica River cottage provides a perfectly serene getaway. Immaculately clean, with every amenity provided, the cottage offers you the chance to do so many different things, or simply nothing at all. It’s also a great base to explore the surrounding area and I will definitely return in warmer weather to get out on the river!

Charming Cottage Get-away!

Having lived in NJ our entire lives, we had no idea how beautiful the Pine Barrens are until our stay at Mullica River Cottage. The cottage is immaculate and decorated in the most cozy, welcoming way. The stay includes many amenities such as full use of the deck and fire pit along the river plus kayaks. We enjoyed the farm-fresh eggs our host kindly left for us. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, this was a terrific weekend trip!

River Ambience

Gina and Frank are gracious hosts, very friendly and considerate. Both are knowledgeable and interesting. Gina's interiors are beautiful and eclectic while Frank is a fifth generation farmer who is full of great information , especially organic gardening. My stay and experienc was delightful.

Perfect Getaway

Wonderful in every way

Couldn’t ask for a better host, accommodation, or location. The cottage was perfect for the 2 of us. Kayaks and access to the Mullica River are just a few steps away. A kayak trip down the river is magical! Additionally there is a fire pit and deck with seating right on the river. The cottage has everything you need to prepare a nice meal, including multiple grills, or go out to eat at one of many nearby restaurants. Gina obviously goes out of her way to provide everything you could possibly ask for. We loved every minute and certainly plan to return.

Beautiful cottage

My daughter spent 5 relaxing days at the Mullica River Cottage. The space was exactly as described on Vrbo. Gina was available but not intrusive. We loved the water view from the picture window.

Relaxed Getaway in Nature

Loved Gina’s cottage. It was the perfect spot for us to take a long weekend away from the city. The property is beautifully maintained and the location on the Mullica River is perfect. Every day we’d either go hiking on nearby trails or paddling in the kayaks. The cottage was plenty spacious for a couple. All of the kitchen appliances are top-notch and the decor was stylin. Can’t wait to book again for the spring.

Simply perfect host

Mullica River Cottage is wonderfully designed, situated on a river with a small beach/kayak launch, surrounded by beautiful gardens. The cottage is right next to the owner's home, so it's not the most private location, but the design, amenities, and host more than make up for that. I especially like that Gina is very conscientious about cleaning. It was spotless, of course, but she also uses a UV machine for added safety during COVID-19. Gina put out fresh local produce for us, made her herb garden available to us, and had ice all ready for our drinks. The attention to detail and personal notes were superb, and made us feel cared for and pampered during our getaway.
