"A very enjoyable stay at The Fourth Lock. It was a great location for exploring the area and has a really good restaurant on site. We were made very welcome and Jay could not have been more helpful. There are only 3 rooms, ours had access to a balcony with a view of the lake. "Luxury at first glance but filthy up close This rental was extremely deceiving. The property looks upscale & expensive in photos but the focus seems to be on aesthetics rather than cleanliness, maintenance or functionality. By the end of our stay we genuinely couldn’t wait to leave. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The bathtub had water sitting in the jets with black material floating in it & did not appear properly sanitized. The bathroom garbage smelled like an ashtray & had ashes in it....

"Loved the central Halifax location within easy walking distance to the Boardwalk, restaurants, shops and museums. PH suite is very modern, organized, and clean. Dedicated parking space was super convenient and the unit was well-stocked with supplies. Professional and responsive hosts made the experience worthwhile - will definitely stay again!"
