North Shore Ocean View Cottage

This recently built comfortable cottage is located on the north shore of the island of Maui, tucked away in the quiet countryside of Haiku but relatively close to major attractions! Enjoy a relaxing vacation in a rich tropical setting with spectacular ocean views!


The Space

The house offers panoramic views of the mountains and the ocean with warm and breezy weather. The house living space is 1000 square feet with an additional 400 square feet of deck and a double carport. The house is great for couples, solo travelers, and families with kids. Lush foliage is abundant, with banana, citrus, and avocado trees planted throughout the yard. The house is perfect for a relaxing vacation in a quiet, private, and peaceful tropical setting.

Guest Access

The house has a variety of features to ensure you have a wonderful stay on Maui. The large outdoor patio has teak wood furniture and a gas barbecue, perfect for enjoying dinner while watching the sunset. We offer a modern fully equipped kitchen, with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, cookware, dishes, and utensils. The home includes high-speed wireless internet, two smart TVs, an Apple TV media streamer, a stereo system, and a laundry area with a washer and dryer. The master bedroom includes a king bed, a large closet, and a master bathroom with a double walk-in shower and a private outdoor shower. There is also a separate tv viewing area with a sofa and a second guest bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Interaction with Guests

We are usually very responsive to messages, available to answer questions, and perform needed maintenance. We are also happy to provide you unique recommendations of activities to do and things to see while you are on Maui.

Other Things to Note

The cottage is located on a 2.9 acre property, which includes a house where the hosts live. One dog, a friendly miniature labradoodle, lives inside the hosts' home and will not be at the cottage. Kids are welcome as long as they are supervised by adults, since there is a steep gulch on the edge of the property.

The Neighborhood

The house is in a small and quiet neighborhood in the countryside, which allows you to be away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, but also still relatively close to major attractions. This allows you to have a unique and fun visit not comparable to a hotel, and lets you experience living the Hawaiian lifestyle.

Second stay at this lovely property. Clean, mostly quiet (some loud guests checked in to a property next door and were pretty loud-NOT our hosts fault!). Gorgeous views! Brigitte and Dave were fantastic- very accommodating and friendly. The house is very well appointed, and the kitchen was a dream to cook in. We will definitely be back!

A fabulous rental home! The views from the home are incredible and the hosts are attentive and kind. The interior space was spotlessly clean and quite comfortable for my husband and I. We enjoyed a nice long stay and were definitely sad to leave. Will come back for certain!

Beautiful Cottage with Ocean View

Brigitte and Dave had the place ready for us when we arrived and it had everything we needed for our stay and then some. We appreciated the local coffee, fruit and other snacks that were left out for us as welcome gifts. Our two young daughters had a great time playing in the yard while we readied each day for our adventures to Haleakala and the Hana Highway, which this location is perfect as a base station for both destinations. Dave stopped by and gave us some tips for our Hana Highway adventure. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

A Cut Above the Rest!

We love this property! Our standards are high when it comes to cleanliness and updated finishes/fixtures and linens. It’s quiet and private. Brigitte and Dave are great and were extremely welcoming and helpful with questions or recommendations for our Maui stay. Many properties just don’t match what this cottage has to offer. Paradise within Paradise

Our hosts, Brigitte & Dave were extremely welcoming. The property exceeded our expectations in many ways: 1. The neighborhood was very peaceful, and quiet. 2. The multiple local trees, flowers, and well maintained lawn provided a garden-like feel to our stay. The partial view of the Pacific Ocean was the icing on the cake! 3. The cottage itself had everything and more, that we needed to facilitate our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Super clean, thoughtful touches. Quiet and private, great view. Only would have liked a living room sofa, there were only two small rattan chairs so no useful living room. But other than that a lovely stay. Nice bed and bedding.

Heaven on Maui

The owners of this beautiful cottage take great pride and lengths to make your stay comfortable. The views are amazing, the cleanliness is a 10+, and has all the amenities one could need. The welcoming basket of fresh fruit, nuts, and coffee is over the top! I can’t wait to return.

Beautiful, clean & quiet

North Shore Ocean View was the perfect getaway. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The home was very clean and well stocked with anything you may need or or have forgotten, including first aid supplies, sunscreen and beach gear. Brigitte & Dave were very friendly and welcoming. They were available to answer any questions and give recommendations on local attractions and food. When we were at the house, we spent a lot of time on the two lanais that overlooked the ocean and scenic backyard. We will definitely stay again if we have the chance and recommend to friends!

This is a beautiful house, the property and the view are fantastic. The hosts were extremely nice, helpful, and considerate. The property is very well-appointed, especially in the kitchen. The location is convenient to shopping, including grocery, within a 10-15 minute drive. It is also a few blocks to the Hana Highway. Our stay couldn't have been any better!
