Just steps from the ocean, Sunset Bank enjoys unparalleled views of the bay, where you can watch the sun set each night. Relax on the front deck and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. We will let you know what time the sun sets each night so you wont miss it! Brand new and fully equipped our 2-bedroom, open concept cottage offers all the comforts of home, ready and waiting for you to unwind.

    Just 7 minutes away from world-renowned Peggy's Cove, located in the tranquil community of Hackett's Cove in St. Margaret’s Bay. Here you will find numerous restaurants, where seafood is always on the menu. Cafés and bakeries abound, for those looking for coffee and a quick bite. Nature lovers may enjoy a sea kayaking tour, or one of the many hiking and biking trails near by. Take a boat tour and see the famous Peggy’s Cove lighthouse from a different perspective, or head to Pearl Island and see the puffins!

    Our cottage is the ideal home base for numerous day trips. Head down the South Shore to picturesque Mahone Bay, the town of three churches. Continue on to colourful Old Town Lunenburg a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, a beautiful 90 minute drive along the ocean. Or spend the day in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, home to most of the province’s wineries. A great place to see the highest tides in the world at the Bay of Fundy, only a 90 minute drive. Halifax is just 40 minutes away, spend the day in the bustling city, and come back to relax at Sunset Bank Cottage.

This was a clean and fully equipped cottage. The view was outstanding and the amenities were all there. The personal touches by the host were so appreciated and went beyond anything we could have expected (there were toothbrushes, in case you forgot!). All communication was clear and timely. Would absolutely stay here again! Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

Far exceeded our expectations!!! The cottage was beautifully decorated and well equipped for our stay. A perfect home-base location for taking day trips throughout N.S. Rooms are spacious and beds are luxurious! Beth was lovely to deal with and all the little touches throughout the cottage were well appreciated :) We highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

We stayed 6 days in the cottage in late May. There is a beautiful view of Margaret’s Bay with gorgeous sunsets. It is fully equipped with anything one may need with attention to detail. The cottage is centrally located to explore the beautiful south shore beaches of Nova Scotia and is still in close proximity to Halifax and the airport. Our only complaint was the very small bedroom with no place to store or hang one’s belongings or clothing. The VRBO website shows a small “second bedroom” with a dresser for clothes. The room was apparently remodeled after the posted photo to add a closet with a washer, dryer, heat pump, and a water filtration system which emits an alarmingly loud noise at 2AM on a biweekly basis. Still the cottage is a little jewel and would be great for guests looking for one very nice bedroom.

Perfect Stay at the Sunset Cottage

Everything was amazing. Beautiful cottage, very clean and everything to make you feel at home. The sunsets were spectacular!! Beth was great in communication and ensuring we were well cared for. I look forward to our next visit

Gorgeous and peaceful

Beth made our stay so pleasant with special touches such as a dog bed and bowls and even fresh eggs from her chickens. The house was spotless and well organized. The view was incredible even from inside.

Cottage was stunnning inside and out. It was stocked with all amenities needed. Host wrote personal notes, provided fresh eggs from her own chickens and other treats. Picture perfect sunsets. Fell in love with the place and will definitely be returning.

Much better than advertised!!

This cottage really checks all the boxes. I have been around more than a few years and this is without a doubt, the nicest, most comfortable and well equipped place I’ve ever stayed at. Beth has done a fantastic job on this cottage and Mother Nature provides you with a fantastic view!! Don’t miss out on this place, you’ll not regret it!!!

This property was absolutely beautiful! The inside was spotless and tastefully decorated. The view of the ocean was just as perfect. The host was great from first to last interaction, she went above and beyond. My family would love to return to this property in the future!

Beautiful and Peaceful Cottage Vacay!

We had an amazing stay at the cottage! The cottage and scenery were even more spectacular than the pictures. Beth was an incredible host and went above and beyond to make use feel at home. We loved the added little touches in the cottage. 10/10 would recommend!

Great Family Stay

The cottage was new and the best equipped cottage we have ever had. This host goes above and beyond to make your trip and cottage experience special. Loved walking down to the waterfront and going for a swim and watching the sunset and ocean views from the cottage :(

It was our second visit enjoying Beth's cottage! Being there for our second time was just as exceptional as our first visit last year! It is our new home away from home. We look forward to next year! Beth is an exceptional hostess with supplying everything that you need. Love her personal touches of farm fresh eggs, flowers from her garden, and dog bed/bowls/blankets. The cleanliness and decor are perfection..love the new deck/seating by the beach area. She is always there for you!
