Highlights

This is no ordinary beachfront home. The owners have thought of everything a large group might want and need in a vacation home, and we mean everything. The home offers a secluded beachfront location so you can escape the crowds, yet you are still close to town. Swim, sunbathe or fish from the beach and enjoy the convenience of being just steps away from the home.

This newly renovated beach house, as seen on HGTV's Beach Hunters, is located on the sandy white beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama. Almost Heaven is a spacious single-story, Gulf-front house featuring granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, equipped with double sinks, refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, dishwashers and washer/dryers - plus addition seating for dining or playing games! There is also a separate kitchenette.

Challenge your loved ones to some friendly competition with a game of Ping-Pong. Walk out onto the large deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and enjoy the sunrise and beautiful views with your morning cup of coffee. You can even spot dolphins from this wonderful vantage point! After your coffee, throw on your bathing suits and head out the back door and spend the day relaxing on the beach!

Almost Heaven is located five miles down West Beach Blvd, close to many great restaurants, local shops, and activities for all ages! The Hangout, home to the annual Hangout Music Festival, is just 5.3 miles away. Take a day to explore the Alabama Gulf State Park, only six and a half miles away, with various trails, fishing, kayak rentals, and bicycle paths.

Additional amenities include an electric vehicle charger, built-in charcoal grill, enclosed storage for beach gear, an outdoor shower, and fish-gleaning station. Whether you are enjoying some fun in the sun at the house or exploring Gulf Shores, you are sure to enjoy yourself!

Almost Heaven for Sure!!

This was by far our most favourite beach house we have ever stayed in!! It is perfect for large groups. There is enough room for everyone to have their own space!! Having 3 refrigerators and 2 sets of washer and dryers was a game changer!! We had an amazing week and would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

Christmas 2024

This house was perfect for our large family. The kitchen had 2 refrigerators, 2 ovens, 2 microwaves, 2 dishwashers and 2 sinks with garbage disposals. The dining room table was also doubled sized. Plenty of room on the decks to enjoy the ocean view. 2 family rooms. Plenty of parking for multiple cars. The management company was very responsive and accommodating.

Huge house - great location and view

Pros: LOTS of space, bedrooms-bathrooms-shared areas. Beautiful views of the gulf water and beach. At this time of year (November), it was very quiet, with just a few people walking the beach. Weather was ideal - 70s and sunny except for one stormy day. Spent time most days on the porch reading, playing games, talking and just listening to the waves. Lots of sea birds, and saw dolphins a couple of times. Wide variety of shells discovered on long walks on the beach. Visibility to both sunrise AND sunset! Cons: As mentioned by someone else, for older people, a ramp or boardwalk across the sand dunes would be very helpful. The sand dunes right in front of the porch block the beach view to some extent. One of the bathrooms could use a shower liner replacement. Would have liked screens on more of the patio doors.

Perfect quiet Getaway

This beach house was absolutely perfect! The layout was fabulous! The huge double stocked appliances in the kitchen was very functional! We had some adults that had to work remote and the kitchenette on the opposite end of the house was quite office for several to work at with the high speed internet!!!! Would definitely book again!

Great stay at Almost Heaven!

Stayed at Almost Heaven for a week with friends and family late May 2024. There was a lot of space, with tons of beds for all guests. Kitchen was fabulous, equipped with two of EVERYTHING - sinks, stoves, microwaves, fridges, plus another full-sized fridge in a second living room and a mini-fridge and wine fridge in the bar. Ping-pong! Games! Outdoor shower! EV charger! It has it all!

Almost Heaven? More like Heaven!

The property was amazing! Perfect location. Close enough to town but not so close to be bothered. The house was absolutely beautiful and it perfectly accommodated my group of family and friends. Honestly, it's named "Almost Heaven" but as a rental vacation home.....it IS heaven.

Family Vacation

This home is perfect for large family gatherings. It truly sleeps 21 comfortably. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and seating for all! The double appliances makes cooking for a crowd enjoyable and with two dishwashers the dishes are cleaned up in record time. So all of that with just a short walk over the dunes to the ocean and ocean view right out your windows makes it perfect.

Stayed here with a large multi-family group. The home is ample to accommodate. We had a group of 20 adults and 7 kids. It was totally comfortable. The kitchen is awesome and the double appliances were much needed for a large group. We all loved our time here.

Great house & location

We absolutely loved our stay at this property! The location was great because it was far from condos and the beach wasn't crowded at all. We loved how you're just steps from the ocean. We vacationed with a family of 11 (8 adults and 3 children). The living and kitchen spaces were so spacious. We didn't feel like we were climbing on top of each other. The double appliances in the kitchen were SO NICE to have. We loved the giant dining table. The additional living space was nice to have at night for games while kids slept. Only downside if you are travelling with young kids - the bunk room door doesn't latch shut or lock so it's difficult to keep curious kiddos in and there aren't any closets large enough to accommodate pack 'n' plays. We had one pack 'n' the toilet area of the master bathroom and one in the laundry room, so it worked out but we were assuming/hoping there would be more options.

Gulf Shores Vacation

The property was really well maintained with an excellent location and plenty of room for a larger group. The only issue that we experienced was that there was never a local number given for the rental management company so you had to call a national line and then wait to hear back from property management.
