Lovely location with amazing views. The hotel staff were wonderful, always so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, the amenities were excellent and everything was very clean. Hope to visit again in the future.

Good stay overall. Not exactly a 5 star experience but still one of the nicer hotels in the area. Reception is messy, coffee was not included in the breakfast, flimsy toilets (bidet that is not intuitive), very hot in the breakfast area during our stay (AC was not on). However, the room was spacious, comfortable and with a nice view.

AVOID THIS HOTEL. This place is a scam. The room looked nothing like the listing photos. It reeked, was coated in dust, and was visibly filthy — I found a NAIL lying on the floor, and I have photos taken that same day. That is not bad housekeeping, that is a safety hazard. Management's response was hostility and intimidation. No apology, no accountability — the only offer was shuffling me into another room. I walked out the same day and found somewhere else to stay. Then the owner told Expedia the room was "clean" with "no issues." A flat-out lie, disproven by my photos. Do not give these people your money. Book anywhere else.

Rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. The views from the rooms were amazing. The service was great and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend as a nice peaceful stay just outside of town. Just wonderful!

The staff at this hotel were amazing and couldn’t do enough for you. They have e-bikes which you can rent. One of the staff even came and found me when I got lost!! The property is about 7km from the town but very doable if you take the e-bikes and the hotel provides helmets. The pool is very instagrammable! The views were amazing. They also have local costumes available for dressing up in if that appeals. There are lots of high tech gizmos, including a Japanese style toilet, a movie screen that comes down from the roof and automated curtains. All can be controlled by voice commands (if you speak Chinese)! This was our favourite hotel and we’d love to go back.

It’s a very nice boutique hotel. The room is clean, spacious and love the toilet with all the fancy stuff. The staff are friendly with a little English, but it’s not a problem. We can communicate using the google translate App. Location is in a quiet area, needs to take a taxi/Didi to go to a city centre. I highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel. The food is truly incredible. I can't say enough good things about it. Their chef is a marvel. I'd recommend ordering whatever the kitchen recommends. And definitely get the roast chicken.

Best choice in Yangshuo!

Mark, dueño del hotel, es un extraordinario anfitrión, siempre atento a las necesidades de sus huéspedes. Su hotel tiene además de grandes vistas y extraordinariamente cómodo, instalaciones muy practicas, cómodas y modernas. No dudo que sea una de las mejores o la mejor opción en Yangshuo!

Perfecto si vas a Yangshuo

Hemos estado genial, si eres extranjero moverte por China es complicado pero el propietario nos ayudó en todo momento y nos trató genial. Recomiendo ir 100%. Además está a las afueras por lo que podrás estar fuera de la bulliciosa ciudad

The view from the hotel room was amazing. We had many baths with our toddler and baby in the bathtub facing the amazing view and it was simply a relaxing experience. The hotel staff was also accommodative as they allowed us to bring the breakfast up to our room as it could be difficult to handle a toddler and a baby at the restaurant. As it was quite a last minute trip with a big family including wheel-chair bound grandparents, the hotel staff was so kind to help with recommending an itinerary and connecting us with local car services, coordinating for us in the process. My 2.5 girl also really enjoyed a lot playing with the big sisters at the hotel. Overall a very friendly and lovely experience .

There is no need for sightseeing trips, as staying indoors offers a complete premium relaxing vacation. The rooms are immaculately clean, quiet and tastefully decorated with elegant Eastern style. Equipped with soft bedding, great sound insulation and modern facilities, they deliver outstanding comfort and total privacy for a restful stay. The service is absolutely exceptional. The staff are warm, attentive and professional, providing thoughtful home-style hospitality all day long. They handle every detail perfectly without being intrusive, bringing a cozy homely vibe that attracts countless global travelers. The rooftop terrace is the biggest highlight, offering breathtaking panoramic mountain views. The rooms at the Yangshuo Fairyland Hotel have the most spectacular views I have ever woken up to in any part of the world. The designer of the hotel knew how to feature the lovely valley ringed by the distinctive mountains that seem to be alive. That alone would make a stay here worth while. Add to this, the incredibly welcoming and communicative host, Mark Ma, who along with his staff in the reception, coffee house and cafeteria, make the place seem like home away from home. Pick-ups from airport and train station are offered and all-day sightseeing as well. And walking around the village next to the hotel offers many interesting sights and encounters with super friendly vendors. In short, thanks to Mark and all for a wonderful stay. Communication was made easy by translation apps, and as more English information is available in writing in the rooms, it will be even easier for non-Chinese speakers to fall in love with the Yangshuo region, people and hotel.

Finding Paradise

I had some initial confusion about the address of the hotel. It was not listed on hotels.com and appeared as Lanshan Wangyue Homestay on Google maps. After communicating with staff via WeChat, the address was clarified for our DiDi driver. Despite this, our stay far exceeded expectations. The location sits among beautiful green mountains which you get to view through a wall to wall window from your room. The hotel is privately owned which I think is quite rare in China and has a boutique feel. Owner Mark Ma personally welcomes you and shows you to your room. The details to things like silk robes, choice teas, self flushing bidet, embroidered thick quality white towels made a big impact. My two boys loved asking “xiao du, xiao du” which is the Chinese version of Alexa to open and close the curtains. We watched Skyfall projected on a big screen from our comfy beds. At sunset, the views from the rooftop were amazing. There’s a rooftop pool, props like a moon, infinity mirror and stairway to heaven to get some Instagram worthy photos. The view by itself though was sublime. The hotel is far enough from the road but close enough to downtown to be peaceful and conveniently located. We enjoyed a varied breakfast. I liked the squash, sweet potato and teas. Boys enjoyed the fried meats, noodles and fried rice. I highly recommend this place. Can’t say enough. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. It really felt like a little paradise!
