  • Trout Tales Fishing Lodge es un paraíso de montaña donde la pesca con cinta azul está justo afuera de su puerta principal. Entorno privado. Sinuosos cañones con muchos hoyos de pesca y natación. El río Missouri está río abajo unos pocos metros. Los viajes de pesca guiados y la licencia de pesca están disponibles en Cascade junto con una tienda de comestibles. El acceso en bote es justo al otro lado del río Missouri y es fácil de recoger para su guía de pesca.
    La cabina tiene una sala de estar cómoda con un cable de antena básica de 50 "t. V., Y un amplificador de teléfono celular.
    La cocina de acero inoxidable está equipada con refrigerador, cocina de propano, lavaplatos portátil, microondas y máquina de hielo. Fuera de la barbacoa de lado en la cubierta. El baño tiene una ducha de vidrio y un calentador de agua a pedido con una nueva lavadora / secadora de bajo consumo. Te limpiará después de un largo día.
    El altillo abierto tiene dos áreas separadas. # 1 tiene una cama queen. # 2 un doble con una cama doble. El piso principal tiene una cama doble. Capacidad para 4-5 personas. 4 tendrán su propia cama.
    Con Eagle Rock detrás de la cabaña se puede observar cómo se elevan las águilas calvas y pescan el río. Ciervos de crucero por los senderos de la colina. Hay mucho espacio para deambular. Un hoyo de herradura junto al pozo de fuego. Una antigua vía de tren abandonada que atraviesa el cañón. Es un agradable paseo de ocio con los ríos cercanos.
    Trout Tales funciona con un avanzado sistema solar. Este sistema es completamente automático y proporciona mucha potencia a la cabina.
    La cabina se encuentra detrás de una puerta cerrada en una calle privada con una colina empinada. 4x4 o AWD es necesario para acceder a la cabina en todo momento.

What an incredible place to spend a long weekend. The host was incredible, clear communication and hospitable. House was clean and very well staged to feel inviting and full of amenities. Would highly recommend and return again.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Trout Tales. Susan was a great host. The cabin had everything we needed and was generously stocked with paper products. The property is amazing. We spent hours just watching the wildlife. Although we only caught one fish, the river was peaceful and very floatable, especially if you shuttle your vehicle. We would definitely choose Trout Tales again!

Very nicely maintained cabin in a peaceful, attractive setting. Well equipped including outdoor propane gas grill on a large wrap around (3 sides) porch. Just bring your groceries. Requires a 4WD vehicle with good clearance to egress the steep private road into/out of the property.

Wonderful cabin on the Dearborn with easy access to Craig

We really enjoyed our stay at this well appointed cabin. Felt like a home away from home and was easy to relax and unwind. The Dearborn and Missouri are just a short walk away with exceptional fishing right out the back door.

The cabin was fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed sitting on the shady back deck in the afternoon while enjoying the views of the cliffs and wildlife.We fished with a guide three days on the Missouri River, landing a lot of big, beautiful trout. Trout Tales made for a perfect base for our fishing trip.

Perfect Setting!

The cabin is great, the setting is perfect to see wildlife and fish, and the location is private but not far from the Highway! We had an amazing experience at this cabin and the owner, Sue, is happy to help with anything you might need! Thank you again!

Great views

Excellent place to return to nature with the Dearborn river in Missouri close by. Access Road definitely needs good 4 x 4 vehicle. Outstanding views.

Trout Tales was an amazing spot to be based for our group’s fly fishing adventure on the Missouri. The lodge was stocked with absolutely everything we needed (plus more!) for our stay and was located in a beautiful setting. Sue was very proactive in communicating with us to ensure our stay went without a hitch, and the cozy and very clean cabin was more than spacious enough for the four of us. Loved the flat top grill! The warning about making sure your vehicle has 4WD is no joke, it is a must to safely traverse the road to/from the cabin. Our expectations for our stay were exceeded by Sue and Trout Tales Lodge.

Amazing Property

Sue was an amazing host and so helpful and was an amazing communicator and very responsive. The property was great and the house was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Close to river. Road in is steep and need 4WD but just take it slow and you are good. 5 Star. Thank you Sue.

Abundant Wildlife

It was a great stay at the remote cabin. Everything was as expected with great communication from the host. We stayed in the hottest time of the year where the cooling evaporator attempted to keep us cool. When we first arrived we saw three bucks on the hill side. Afterwards fawns stayed around the cabin for the duration of our stay. I would stay there again especially during late spring or early fall.

Cool Cabin at Dearborn & Missouri River Junction

Great “off the grid” Cabin to hangout at. Very comfortable, everything works well, solar powered with propane generator backup. One bath and one double downstairs and three more beds upstairs. Host is very accessible and the cabin is well stocked with all the little things you could want. The only issue is the access road, very steep and weathered hard. When she says “4 wheel drive is a necessity”… believe it! Enjoyed our stay there…

Fantastic Cabin With Great Fishing

This cabin absolutely lives up to its name. It has direct access to the Dearborn River with a fishing hole right by the property’s river bank. If you are a fishing enthusiast, read the fishing instructions in the cabin. They are very accurate and proved quite productive for me. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you need for a nice vacation. The sceneries are breath taking with eagles cruising high in the skies…a true paradise. The situation with AWD / 4x4 vehicle is not that bad. A basic vehicle with such capability will do it. Will definately return.

Incredible time at Trout Tales

My fishing partner and I stayed here for four days. It was amazing. The house was immaculate when we arrived and sits in a beautiful location of the confluence of the Dearborn and Missouri River. The owner has gone to great lengths to make sure everything is provided for a very nice stay. The kitchen was the most well equipped kitchen I have ever had in a rental property. It was a great place to come back to and make a meal when some of the restaurants in Craig are closed a few nights a week. Make sure you have a good four-wheel-drive vehicle to get in and out of the property. The owner makes this clear in her listing, and it is not something to be overlooked. I would not hesitate to book this again next time I am up fishing on the Missouri.

Dearborn River House

We absolutely loved the place and the location. It was a perfect size for just the two of us. We mostly fished the MO River while there but it was convenient to walk out back and fish the Dearborn a couple of times also. There were deer and rabbits running around every day and one of the does had a couple of young fawns with her. They were fun to watch. The road getting into the place was a little intimidating at first but once we drove it down and back up, it was a piece of cake. The owner was great to talk to on the phone and she was very responsive to all of my messages to her. The place is well stocked with all the essentials and had everything we needed (except a cheese grater….lol). We will definitely consider this place again if we ever make another trip over there.

Beautiful Place in a Beautiful Location

First off, do pay attention to the information in the description regarding 4WD or AWD needed to reach the property. The road in is pretty intimidating at first but after a few times in and out we got used to it. Once on site the drive in was well worth it. The lodge is better than described. Great location, great amenities, very short walk to blue ribbon fishing, and a nature lover's dream. The first morning we were there we saw no less than a dozen deer and watched five bald eagles flying around the cliffs. The house was clean and had more than enough amenities. Being on a solar system, most of the lights are LEDs. In the evening the inside lighting was a bit dim for reading so I'd bring an additional clip on reading light the next time I go...And we'll definitely be back. Thanks Susan, for being an outstanding host.

Trout Tales!

Trout Tales exceeded our expectations. The road into the cabin is no joke (20% grade). 4X4 is an absolute must. From a location standpoint, you can't beat it. 30 miles from Great Falls airport and within 5 to 10 min drive of most Missouri River access. We were there in July. 90-100 degree temps during the day. The cabin stayed cool with the windows shut during the day, and at night was very pleasant with the windows open. Wifi works really well. The Dearborn river was great for swimming. You can take a short walk down the dearborn and wade the missouri . We walked down and immediately found a pod of rising fish. The water temp was likely 75 in the dearborn, and no trout to be found. With the missouri so close, you're better off devoting more time there. I would definitely come back to Trout Tales!

Father Sons Fishing Trip

This beautiful vacation home is absolutely beautiful and totally off the grid. Their property description is accurate except it says, 4x4 vehicle suggested. Not quite correct, 4x4 vehicle a necessity, and that’s part of the beauty of this place. Sue, the owner has provided all you’ll need for a totally relaxed stay, except for your food and drink of choice. And, BTW, their well water is better that any bottled or city water I’ve found. Wake up to the quiet of the valley, walk outside with your cup of coffee and see how many deer are walking around. We counted 8 one morning. Sitting on their deck, watching a dancing fire in their fire pit, playing a quick game of horse shoes, checking out the stars, solving all the worlds problems, enjoying each other company and bragging who caught the biggest fish the day is the perfect way to conclude your evening. The boys and I have already decided if we have another Montana guy fishing trip, this is where we’re gonna stay!
