TRASH PICK-UP & INSTRUCTIONS:
Pick-up Day: Tues morning — please place the trash receptacle out at the street on Mon evening / early Tues morning.

Important Note: To keep pests away, please ensure that all trash is securely placed inside a trash bag before putting it into the dumpster/bin.

Extra Space: If you run out of room, let us know and we will be happy to help you find extra options!

A NOTE ON THE WATER:
You may notice the tap water has a slight natural brown tint. This is completely normal for our local water system, which is rich in natural minerals, fully tested, and 100% safe for drinking and bathing. For your comfort and convenience — should you wish not to drink the tap water, you have a few great options:
— Shop Ahead: If you prefer bottled water for your stay, we highly recommend picking up a case or two at the grocery store prior to your arrival.
— Distilled Water: For your cooking / drinking, we have provided a distilled water filtration system located in the kitchen for your use.

FRIDGE DOOR (RIGHT SIDE):
A quick tip for the fridge: closing the left door can sometimes cause the right door to pop open slightly. Please give both doors a quick double-check to make sure they’re sealed tight and your groceries stay cold!

PLUMBING & SEWER:
Because our home retains some of its charming, original historic piping, the system is very sensitive. Please do not flush any wipes (even those labeled "flushable") or feminine hygiene products. Please use the wastebaskets provided instead. This helps us keep the plumbing running smoothly for your stay!

BATHROOM SINK DRAINAGE:
Just a quick heads-up that the bathroom sink is currently draining a little slower than usual. We already have a plumber scheduled to service it; however, they are unable to arrive before your departure! The plumber confirmed it is completely fine to use normally, just be sure not to leave the faucet running. If you have any issues at all, please feel free to reach out!

HEATING & COOLING:
Warm Weather Seasons: Our mornings can be beautifully crisp, with temperatures warming up nicely throughout the day. To keep the home comfortable, the central system is set to automatically circulate fresh air if the indoor temperature rises above 68°F. While the home does not have traditional central AC, we have installed a powerful window AC unit in the laundry room to help cool the space on warmer days. The thermostat can be a little tricky, so if you ever need to make adjustments, just let us know — we can update it for you remotely!
