The Cache Contemporary DT Condo

The Cache offers contemporary accommodations for up to 4 guests in a central location. The expansive mountain and river views will awe you from sunrise to sunset. Golden has something for everyone, regardless of whether you are looking for a winter getaway or seeking new summer adventures. Located in the middle of 6 National Parks, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and the Golden Skybridge are minutes away, and with a variety of local hidden gems on your doorstep you will wish you stayed longer!

Please note: the A/C is central and controlled by a building management system. This means it cannot be adjusted in the condo. While the system is maintained at 19 degrees C, the condo has large windows and may heat up depending on hours of sunshine, particularly on the warmest of summer days. We recommend using the fans provided and keeping window coverings and windows closed while the sun is above the mountains. Opening windows in the evening and overnight can assist with overnight cooling.

You have access to the whole condo with the exception of a locked storage closet

I do not live in the condo building but I live in Golden and myself or a member of my team will be happy to help in person if needed.

We have a locked storage at the back of our allocated parking space (#203) . Please feel free to utilize this during your stay for your sports equipment - there is a combo lock which is the same as the door code.
No sports equipment in the unit.
No smoking of any kind indoor or on the decks.
No outside shoes in the unit.
Only guests on reservation allowed to stay overnight.

The check-in instructions were not given after the check-in time. Sent message thru Expedia to the host and never got response. I had to search the property management company and called their number. I wasn’t sure if it’s Expedia’s problem or the host. The place was clean and comfortable. The outdoor equipment storage and boots/gloves driers were bonus for snowboarding trip. The only two things I didn’t like were 1) the poor water quality of the condo. The tap water was not drinkable, bring you own water 2) most of the thermostats on the wall couldn’t adjust the room temperature.

Very comfortable property - decor was lovely and very clean. Felt like we could move in any time! Loved the access to walking trails nearby, and dining options (especially the Ethos cafe next door) were great! Had our favourite meal for our trip in the Riverside Grill & Bar nearby (amazing beef dip!).

Great communication from Erica! Nice little condo unit with a great coffee shop and bakery right next door! Immediate access to the walking trails if you want to go for a walk or head into town.

The condo is an excellent new modern building. It's very clean, organized and comfortable. The area is very accessible as well. I would highly recomend it to anybody looking to stay in the Golden area.

Awesome condo in Golden

This is a great, well appointed space, within easy walking distance to great spots in town - including Ethos café which is in the complex. Great communication with the host, entry was seamless. Will stay here again.

Loved the apartment. Great spot and walkable for dinner in the evening. Also nicely situated if you are skiing at Kicking Horse.

Modern and clean apartment

Easy to find with own parking space. Code entry building and apartment. Mountain View’s, clean with good facilities. Cafe and brewery close by. River walk minutes away. Lovely stay.

Nice condo near centre of Golden

A very modern condo with all the amenities you need, a few minutes walk from shops and restaurants. The location was great and check in was easy. One drawback was that for two couples, the space was a little tight. Some improvements would be to put chairs and a table on the balcony, and also add some key hooks or shelf at the entryway. One issue was that due to the heat wave, it was a little hot in the condo and the cooling is not controlled by the resident. We asked for a fan (a suggested cooling tip noted by the host) however was told the property did not have one. It seems like a reasonable request and we would have appreciated an attempt to provide one, especially after asking twice. The host did resolve another minor issue (no paper towels) in decent time. The highly used spaces were very clean but we did notice dust bunnies under the beds/couch. There are some nice touches like laundry baskets in the closets, a shoe rack in the entry, and hangers in the closets. There are a few other quirks to the condo building that would be good to know ahead of time (ex. dryer takes a long time because it is not vented) but overall it was a nice stay.
