Lovely room but a bit difficult to manoeuvre the staircase with a large suitcase. No breakfast available. Otherwise the room was lovely and would definitely stay again.

Booked this room for the Army v RAF rugby match at Kingsholm and was extremely impressed by the setting, the price and service. Will be looking to book again next year for sure as it's now our "Go To" place to stay.

Building works going on nearby would have been annoying if we were not just staying the night on route to somewhere. Rooms were clean but could do with some tlc especially the bathroom.

An absolutely wonderful place to stay. Lovely staff, food, walks, the room was great. Great food and the chef came round to speak to each of us to make sure we all enjoyed our food. A really special place that we will go back to. A couple of points to make though, they do not serve breakfast and there is nobody to hand a key back to on our leave which is a bit odd otherwise very highly recommended.

Nice boutique style hotel, just out of town but free parking. Bar/restaurant on site for nice food. Beautiful canal side location with outside tables for summer. No breakfast available but not a problem.

The room was beautifully decorated, very clean and with all the expected amenities. There were no staff on site (the key is left in a lock box). I stayed on Monday night, the restaurant is closed on Mondays (hence no interaction with staff). Unfortunately, I did not sleep very well at all due to the loudness of a generator which kept me awake all night. It felt as if I was sleeping inside a helicopter. I left the room early in the morning because I was fed up with the noise and I had developed a headache from lack of sleep. I scored low for the Service / Staff because there was no one on site to whom I could address my concerns. This is a really nice place and the room was well kept, it is such as shame that it was not possible to get a good night's sleep.

Lovely little place, good food and service, only issue I had, I was in the top floor double room, and it was unbearable Hot, even with 2 fans supplied in the room, considering it was only 24 degrees outside, I didn’t sleep well at all. Other than that it’s a lovely place, I would stay again, but on colder days

Nice location, easy to get to with dedicated parking nearby. Staff welcoming and friendly. Room clean and comfortable over looking the canal. Evening meals excellent and staff pleasant and hard working. Highly recommended.

The shower in our room needs some work. The shower curtain was falling off the rail and there was a large black stain on the floor where water leaks onto the floor. We loved your inn and it was a beautiful setting. The pub below was a bit pricey but the food was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again and would tell our friends.

Room furnishings were high quality and we had a lovely view of the canal. The room included a fridge and fan, bed was comfy. Staff were very helpful including when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the room. The place was nicely located too next to a beautiful canal and the area was very safe. The hotel and rooms were clean with the only issue being they used light biscuit carpet which showed a few stains

Covenient, semi rural location very close to Gloucester city centre. Attractive building on the edge of a canal and very close to the river. Our family room was huge and well set up.

Lovely place. Excellent food. Very friendly staff especially the owner who spoils my dog with ham from the kitchen. Just came back from our second stay there and looking forward to the next time.
