We found the hotel to be exceptionally comfortable. The recently renovations to the historic buildings has been exceptionally well done: very modern amenities and furnishings and a really great repurposing of space for visitor accommodations. We booked here based on location in the center of downtown Reykjavík and close proximity to Laugarvagur. For some, the proximity of the studio room we were assigned might be too close, overlooking Laugarvagur with its great eating, drinking, shopping places, and night life The staff were all warm, friendly, and very helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends.
