"Great value. Room and hotel are clean and look fairly new. Hotel is just off the highway but we didn’t hear any noise. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and shower was good. Breakfast included eggs, sausages, pancakes, cereal, oatmeal and other items. Seems better than a two star hotel. "

"Beautiful room. We stayed in the efficiency king room which included a full size black fridge and also a flat top stove top. The room was very modern I definitely recommend."

"I will start with the positive. We got massages and the spa was nice. The massages were good. The steakhouse was wonderful and the manager there, the waitress and the staff throughout Oglebay were really good. Now for the not so good: We were there for our 40th anniversary, which they had in their system, but we were given a room in one of the lodge wings that only had a view of the wall belonging to the next building of rooms. "I found a bed bug in my bed on the last day of my trip. The hotel staff told me to contact Expedia to receive a refund. I asked to get written conformation this happened to me and all they gave me was $30 free play coins. When I call Expedia, they gave me $75 credit with them. Now Expedia claims they aren't able to contact the hotel, and the hotel claims they haven't heard from Expedia. Honestly, I hate complaining and I didn't know what to do. The housekeeper took the dead bug, and the lobby...

"Unfortunately, the age of this motel is showing to the extreme. Bed was lumpy at best, no place to put a suitcase except the floor or bed, no Kleenex. I feel badly for owners that do not have the funds to improve or update their property."

"First room had water leak and was moved to second room. When I opened the dishwasher thee cockroaches came out. Staff was kind, but facilities are old. Bedding was decent."
