  • Summary:

    Reserve this gorgeous beachfront paradise, consisting of both the main house and an on-site guest home, situated right on the shore of the Carr Inlet. Between the two rentals, you'll have plenty of space for up to nine lucky guests. The single-story main house features a chic, tastefully appointed living room with large windows, record player (with a large selection of vinyl), and a fun, retro jukebox. Prepare meals in the full, updated kitchen, or fire up the gas grill and dine outside on the expansive, furnished deck.



    The Space:

    The 650-square-foot guest house includes a well-equipped compact kitchen, a desk and chair, cozy furnishings, and its own furnished patio area with an additional grill.



    Drop in to the water and take your kayak out for a morning paddle. Kopachuck State Park, just a couple miles away, features two miles of shaded hiking trails, sun-warmed beaches, picnic areas, and outdoor activities that include swimming, paddleboarding, boating, shellfish harvesting, and saltwater fishing. Only five miles from this rental, visit downtown Gig Harbor for shops, restaurants, and even a movie theater. And enjoy a day trip or two to Vashon Island (the Point Defiance Ferry is 14 miles east), Tacoma (16 miles southeast), Port Orchard (19 miles north), or Seattle (35 miles northeast).



    Things to Know

    Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.

    Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.

    All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

    No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

    Full kitchens in both rentals.

    The Tides Retreat consists of Little Tides and The Tides, both of which may be rented individually.

The views were amazing and the grounds so beautiful. We had so much room and never felt crowded. All and all we loved this place.

Wonderful Tides Retreat

This is the most comfortable rental we've stayed in over many years. Our favorite parts of the house were the sunroom and the back deck. Just watching the water move in and out, and nature was all the entertainment needed. We will definitely make this our number one place to stay when we visit the area again. Thank you!

A gorgeous piece of park like waterfront! A perfect family reunion spot with a huge outdoor deck and beach/lawn for kids to play. Appreciated having 4 King sized beds. The Little Tides building was much larger than anticipated. The Living area is very large, comfortable and open. We brought our own kayaks and SUPs to paddle out to Dead Man’s Island. Gorgeous view.

We had such a good time at this place! The king beds were great and what made us choose it, but the setting won us over. The tide schedule made for a fascinating observance of wildlife. We went kayaking and were joined by seals,. The record collection provided great ambience for the evening. We would choose it again.

Wonderful house with an amazing property. We enjoyed our stay. The only frustrating experience was at check in. The house was supposed to be available at 4 pm. When we showed up, the house was not ready. The cleaner was still inside and we couldn't get into part of the rental until 4:30 pm. The other mother in law portion of the rental wasn't available until 5 pm.

Wonderful place to stay! The 7 of us childhood friends had a great time and were very comfortable. Place was pretty clean & very relaxing. Loved sitting out on the large back deck, just looking at the water and all the nature. So good for the soul!

Excellent for a work retreat!

A friend and I stayed here for a 3 day work retreat and LOVED it! It is a super cozy home, beautiful yard and water view, clean and great location.

Location and atmosphere

My family loves the location and atmosphere of this home. The views and property grounds are lovely. The home is spacious and comfortable. I think the lower level and bathroom of the little house need to be updated.

A great view and comfortable home made the trip easy. Beds were a bit small but very comfy. The extra cottage was convenient and made for extra room however it had a very strong musty smell that we could not get rid of, most notably in the bottom level and especially in the bathroom/hot water heater area. The main house has no odor. Being right on the water with a beautiful view of the mountains made it a great place to stay - seal watching was a highlight.

Relaxing Waterfront

This was a great option for our two families (with kids). Great beach and private grassy yard with a deck. We all loved the fact that it was a waterfront home without all the popular “beach house” signage/decor.

Beautiful Water front home!

We wanted to experience waterfront living on the Puget Sound and this house was perfect! Quiet, secluded, amazing outdoor space , perfect beach for clamming/ adventure . Beds were big and comfortable . Wonderful vacation!

Fabulous place on the water!

We had a wonderful family vacation at this house, it had everything we needed. The location is above expected. Would definitely stay here again. Very clean, And a great place for our dogs too !
