    Gorgeous beachfront condo in pointe west! 'LICENSE TO CHILL' features three bedrooms and two baths, this vacation residence is the perfect place to enjoy your pointe west vacation. It is located on the second level which allows you to easily enjoy the beautiful beachfront view from the living or dining space in this open floor plan condo and is just a short walk to the Beach Club.

    This condo offers: a king bedroom, a second king bedroom, and a third bedroom with two twin over full bunk beds making this condo ideal for couples or two small families vacationing together. Sleeps 9 comfortably. 2 High Def LED TV's, WIFI, NEWLY FURNISHED living room nicely decorated, a fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to prepare a dinner and entertain guests at the same time. , Everything you need for a great vacation!
    A storage locker is provided with this unit.

    Pointe West is a privately owned resort community on the western tip of Galveston Island, located approximately 30 minutes from The Strand & other great Galveston attractions. You will have exclusive access to our beach that is clean & groomed regularly offering you a perfect spot to relax & unwind, away from the crowds.

    The Pointe West Beach Club is a privately owned facility and offers resort style amenities for guests who choose to purchase access. Use of these amenities is optional.
    Resort Fee: $25 per person (ages 4+), per stay. *Beach club policy only allows 3 amenity bands per bedroom. It includes use of:
    • Beach Club pool and seasonally heated Bayside pool with lazy river
    • Hot tubs
    • Basketball & Pickleball court and a modest game/exercise room

    The Beach Club will email an invoice directly to you. After payment, wristbands may be picked upon arrival at the Beach Club Office, open daily from 9 AM–5 PM.
    Please note: The resort fee is nonrefundable, so we recommend waiting until closer to your arrival before purchasing.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We manage the rental home only. We do not oversee the Beach Club, its amenities, the restaurant, pools, beach access, or elevators. Refunds and/or cancellations are not given for any closures or operational failures.

    * Check in: 4 PM
    * Check out: 10 AM
    * Guests may enjoy the beach and Beach Club amenities before check-in and after check-out with wristband purchase.
    * Condos are accessible by stairs and have one elevator per building.  If the elevator experiences an outage, you will be required to take the stairs.  Elevators should not be relied upon for guests with disabilities or other limitations. 
    * Minimum age requirement: 26+
    * No prom, graduation, or high school groups, even with chaperones.

    CANCELLATION/CHANGE POLICY:
    * 31+ Days Before Arrival — You may change your dates (but the price might change), or you may cancel for a full refund minus a $100 fee and any travel‑insurance premium you bought.
    * 30 Days or Less — No refunds and no date changes, no matter the reason — including weather or unexpected events.

    Travel Insurance — Offered at booking. Helps protect you from losses due to unexpected events. Important because hurricane season is June–November.

    Storm & Cancellation Policies — Additional details are in the rental agreement and should be reviewed carefully.

Awesome view. Awesome facilities. Nice condo perfect for what we needed. The sheets though were made out of some blend like wrinkle free shirts so that part was annoying. Felt like plastic. That was the only weird thing. Otherwise it was great.

We have stayed here multiple times and it is always great. We love the location with the view of the private beach and within walking distance to the pool. Also enjoy that it is a corner unit with shaded afternoons on the balcony. It is always clean, well equipped and comfortable.

Great Family Beach Getaway

We had a great time staying at "License 2 Chill." Property is clean, well-appointed, and has amazing unobstructed views of water. Location is close to beach walkover and basketball court. We enjoyed the amenities that Pointe West has to offer, including both pools and gift shop. Would definitely return to this property again in the future.

Great beach rental

I have stayed at this property several years ago. I love the new updates!!! Furniture is so nice and comfortable, new paint, new bedding, lots of extras in the kitchen. I stay at Pointe West every summer and have been in many of the rentals. This one is definitely at the top of the list 🥰

Enjoyable

Our stay was about being with old friends so all was perfect. We always love to watch movies, so we delighted with the selection of DVD’s available. BUT the DVD player had a DVD stuck in it and would not work. It needs to be replaced. Also some tiny flying bug was always around in kitchen area. Perhaps extermination is necessary.

Amenities were disappointing.

The property was fine. Clean and as pictured. The location is beautiful but far away from everything. Don’t plan on using door dash or anything like that. Walmart is 27 mins away so as long as you plan for that and to cook all your meals, you will be fine. The resort has no marketplace or open restaurants. You pay $25 per person to use the amenities such as the pool, game room and fitness center but the pool was closed down 3 out of 4 days of our stay with no water. Use of the game room should be included but it’s an additional $5 to use each time. ($25 cc payment with $20 refund after returning equipment.) The elevators were not working so we had to carry our luggage and everything up and down the stairs. It was jelly fish season so we could not enjoy the beach. This should have been addressed prior as it happens every year but coming from Georgia, we were not aware. The Man O war jellyfish were beautiful to look at, but they are dangerous. Over all the property was fine but I would have like to know about these issues prior to booking and I would like a refund on the amenities charge since we were not able to use those either for more than 4 hours.

Getaway stay

All aspects were as advertised or better! We scoured location for future trip with Grandkids and found everything we hoped for. Quiet and secluded area. Great for being away from the Seawall bars and restraints. Can still get there when we want to. Plenty of amenities and the sunrise view was magic.

Overall Good

The decor is stylish and comfortable. There were some basic supplies that were lacking though - 4 wine glasses, 1 roll of paper towels, 2 rolls of toliet paper and 6 towels for a 3 bedroom condo that sleeps 8 is just insufficient.

Great Stay

Had a great stay at this condo, had everything we needed, nicely decorated and comfortable. Nice views of the beach and surrounding area. A little too windy to take advantage of the nice balcony but that's the chance you take in the spring.

Wonderful beach condo

The property looks just like the pictures. It was stunning. We bought food because the reviews said that it wasn’t near any restaurants and this was accurate which didn’t bother us because it was so peaceful. We were a little disappointed to find out the bar and restaurant didn’t open till a week after we left. Nowhere did it say this till after we booked. This is the only reason we didn’t leave 5 stars. Other then that we loved it.

Loved this condo!

Our group had 4 adults and 2 kids. This property was great- very clean and comfortable. Awesome huge deck on the back with great ocean views and a large dining table plus seating area. King beds in both bedrooms, plus bunk beds in the kids' room was perfect. Kitchen was well stocked. There was some confusion over whether the kitchen had a Keurig or not, and I was actually told by the Pointe West property manager that this condo didn't have one. But when we got there, it did. So drip coffee or K cups- take your pick! It was about a 1/4 mile walk from the condo to get to the actual beach (along a paved sidewalk and then a bridge). The condo is also far from the community pool which meant there was no extra noise. We loved it and will be back!

Phenomenal view and location

This was an absolute pleasure. We had a blast and truly were able to relax and enjoy our time on the beach. The hosts were great and very responsive. My only note is that the elevator was down for 2 days. I had elderly family members that were limited in what we could do. But otherwise, this was a fantastic stay!
