is another exquisite custom built BEACHFRONT house and a new addition to our portfolio of vacation rentals which only specializes in luxurious. This property is the twin of Wilde Dunes, and is also located in The Preserve at Grand Beach, a gated community on Galveston’s east end.
It is in the center of everything, The Strand (Galveston Downtown), restaurants and attractions.
Beach is just steps away. The property is impeccably furnished from Restoration Hardware.

• A strictly animal-free zone with no option policy, and no smoking due to family members, children, and grandchildren having asthma, severe allergies.
Additionally, the house is marketed to families with similar medical issues.

Lastly, we also welcome immunocompromised guests, including cancer patients who are undergoing or recovering from treatment

Please kindly respect our policy. There are other pet friendly and smoking allowed rental properties on the island.

• No more than 16 occupants including infants and day guests at any time.
• No Smoking, No e-cigarette, No illegal drug inside and outside of the property.
• No firearms
• Must be 30 or older to reserve. you are required to sign a rental agreement, and return with a copy of your driver's license within 48 hours of booking, Or the booking is canceled without notice. In addition, you are required to be at the rental for the duration of the reservation. No third party booking

• PARKING SPACES: 5 mid-sized cars in the private driveway. HOA does not permit parking on the street. If violated, anyone’s car could be towed at car owner's expense. Please share this information to your guests. There are extra parking spaces in the community. However, they are first come first serve. Please no inside garage parking.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


CANCELLATION: Due to the nature of the vacation rental business, if you cancel, change, or move the check-in date for ANY REASONs (such as weather, hurricane, death, sickness, job loss, plane cancellation...) will follow:

• 61 days or more prior to your check-in date will receives a full refund
• 60 days prior to your check-in date will be nonrefundable

HURRICANE AND MANDATORY EVACUATION: If there is an ordered mandatory evacuation due to hurricane or other events, you are required by state law to vacate the property. If you declined trip cancellation insurance, you shall not be entitled to a refund by us.

SHORTENED STAY: No credit nor refund will be given for shortened stays due to the late arrival or early departure for any reason


Because of our strict cancellation policy, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND GUESTS PURCHASE THE CANCELLATION PROTECTION, TRIP INTERRUPTION, OR TRAVEL INSURANCE TO PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT, especially during the hurricane season, June 1 to Nov 31. It is not much, but it's sure to save you a lot of headaches. Please read their fine print or contact them to get more information. Because we have no control over their terms and policies.

WARNINGS: It is very important to know that All the dunes and bushes on the island are the poisonous snakes’ habitats. This has been known in Galveston for many years. Please stay off the dunes and bushes. Stay on the dune walkover to get to the beach. Always watch your steps when you walk on grasses or the walkover.

BUGS: ants, mosquitoes, chiggers, palmetto bugs, cockroaches, silverfishes, spiders, love bugs, big bugs, small bugs, tiny bugs, and all kinds of bugs are part of Galveston's life. Because we are in the coastal region with wetlands and open ditches surrounding.

To control these pests, the house has been scheduled to be sprayed quarterly and annually by our local pest control company. Per our pest control company, the spraying does not prevent them from crawling or flying in during the open and close of getting in and out of the house. However, if they do get in, they won't survive. You might see them unexpectedly during your stay.

Close the doors immediately after use, turn off the outside lights at the doorways also help to minimize them from getting inside. Because lights attract bugs.
Please do not bring food, snacks, candy into the bedrooms to prevent ants. Please do not leave food crumbs on the floor, inside the house will attract ants, or the ground floor, outside where the picnic tables are, will attract wild animals such as snakes, ants, bugs.

NEW CONSTRUCTION:
The house is in underdeveloped communities. We do not know exactly when new construction will start or how long to expect construction on any house to last. You may reserve a house at a time when there is no construction, but it may begin prior to your arrival.
We regret any inconvenience that may result. We have no control over these situations and are unable to refund you the money.

Mai is the perfect host and her home is incredible. Such a useable floor planfor the bedrooms and the kitchen is equipped with every gadget you could imagine. All the beach toys you could want and the outside patio area is fantastic for dining and just relaxing. Her home really allows you to be on vacation.Great views and easy access to the beach via the private boardwalk. We will definitely go back.

Fabulous home

Our group of “mermaids” has been gathering on Galveston Island and other locations for 30 years this year. We have always rented on the far west end but decided to try the east end this year. We were so glad we did! The house was absolutely gorgeous! The views of our beautiful gulf were perfection and being so close to the shops and restaurants was really nice. Best of all, Mai was the most accommodating host I think I’ve ever had. She went above and beyond making sure we had a smooth check-in and that we had everything we needed. She responded immediately to our call for a repair on the elevator and followed up to be sure it was working and all was going well. Thank you, Mai for everything! I have a feeling our mermaids will be making their way here again and again.

Wonderful Long Weekend in Galveston

“The One” Beach House is amazing. The home is very comfortable with a lot of luxury touches. Our multi generational family really enjoyed the stay at the beach house. The hosts- Mai and Tom were amazing and very responsive. We had a private chef - Jewel that was recommended by the owners and she and her team did an exceptional dinner for us at the house. You will want to stay here, believe me.

Spectacular beachfront getaway

We had the most wonderful stay! Beautiful, spacious luxury home that is great for families with kids of all ages. Mai was very responsive and accommodating, checkin and checkout process was very smooth. Location is prime for access to beach and only a short drive to restaurants/the strand/moody gardens. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend!!

Very special Galveston beach home!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful beach house in Galveston. Very clean, right on the beach (exactly as advertised) with AMAZING views! Super close to restaurants, the Strand, shops, etc, but still far enough away to have some peace and quiet from tourists and crowds. The square footage was just about perfect for us. Plenty of room for our family of four (two adults, two munchkins), and our extended family (two grandparents, an uncle, aunt and another munchkin), all staying under the same roof. The open kitchen, dining, and living area was also great for meals we prepared and enjoyed there. We loved the hot tub as well. Nice and clean--and hot! Perhaps the only negative we experienced--no access to the elevator on site. The house has multiple stories and a lot of stairs and lugging all our luggage, groceries, and supplies up into the house, then back down on departure day wasn't much fun. If you have elderly parents or very young kids staying there with you, may want to keep that in mind. Other than that, this place is a SOLID 5 stars. We'd definitely come back again. And we hope to!
