It is a longer downhill walk to Galata Tower, Galata Bridge, the port, etc. which means uphill on return to hotel. Found the room clean & quiet. "The room is huge and very homey, we stayed on the third floor (walkup, no lift) and got the unit with a balcony overlooking Istiklal Street. There is a good division of space within the room, with plenty of lighting for different moods. This hotel has an excellent location. It's right in the middle of Istiklal Street, which is convenient for shopping. Perpendicular to this main street is lots of smaller lanes with many handicrafts and artists working in smaller studios making jewelry, woodcraft...

"Ich war ein paar Tage allein in Istanbul und das Impera Hotel war ein Volltreffer. Die Lage ist perfekt um die Stadt das erste Mal zu erkunden, man ist Mitten im Geschehen, aber trotzdem in einer ruhigen Seitengasse. Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet gewesen und das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Frühstück gab es vor Ort nicht, dafür gibt es aber viele Kaffees und Restaurants um die Ecke. Ich werde auf jeden Fall gern wiederkommen! "

"The biggest suite is on top of the last level the elevator/lift can reach. Meaning that you will have to walk on stairs. If you don’t want to climb any stairs, make sure you ask the staff before you book."
