Great communication from the host. Had some hiccups in our stay with the coffee maker not working and finding some pet hair but host responded quickly. Hot tub was great and beds were comfortable.

Hidden Gem in Galena

Property was exactly as described, clean and comfortable and located on a very quiet dead-end road with lots of woods and wildlife. It was perfect for us! Hot tub and gas firepit in the screened in porch were a major bonus on the cool nights.

Good Getaway!

This was overall a good place to stay for a short getaway for an annual girls trip. Panicked a little as I saw it slept 6 when I booked, but then only saw 2 bedrooms, but the host was quick to get back to me that there were in fact 3 bedrooms with 2 queens and a king bed. We utilized everything, the outside porches, the enclosed porch, the hot tub and the grill! The two propane tanks for the grill were empty, and we were a little upset as we just had bought a bunch of food to grill out, but we found one from the gas fireplace that we switched out! Phew! And we did run a little short on toilet paper with 6 women in one house! Overall it was a nice stay and a wonderfully quiet, beautiful area. Can't wait to come back and see it when everything is green again!

Great Home in Galena!

Such a fun house in a beautiful area. Hot tub was spacious and the fire pit is beautiful. Loved the pac man game and the master bedroom. Truly a fun stay!

Good but not great Galena getaway

We stayed at the Fox Wood Path for 4 days over new years. Home is in a nice quiet area in 'The Territory'... about a 15-minute drive from Galena. The property is surrounded by woods, has ample deck space to enjoy the outdoors, and beautiful wide-open views from all the public spaces. The loft opens up the main space to 2-stories, giving the smaller living area an expansive feel. It's been remodeled and updated to include most everything you would expect, and even some fun extras like the pac-man arcade game, hot tub, nice coffee maker, washer/dryer and access to resort amenities. Lots of sleeping options, 3 bedrooms, including a king-size master bath (up steep loft stairs).The place looks great and decor is tasteful, but the overall quality was a bit of a disappointment. Living room couch was worn, half of it sagging pretty significantly, and even a threadbare spot on one of the arms. All of the kitchen pots looked old and worn with scratched off teflon. The bedding felt cheap and not very comfortable, and the living area was extremely drafty. My husband sat on the couch in the loft and fell right into it lol. One afternoon, the vanity lights in the master bathroom flashed like a strobe every time we tried to turn them on. A bit disconcerting! Seemed to be a wiring issue, and the next day it worked just fine. Quality bath towels.Host was very kind, communicative and responsive to any questions or issues and made sure we were checked in with no problem, even on NYE.

Quick getaway

My husband and I booked this to get away in the fall for a few days. Great location! It was an easy drive to downtown for shopping & eating. Very close to the winery so we spent an afternoon there too. Awesome views driving in and from upstairs windows. We will be back with kids in the summer to enjoy the Galena Territory club amenities.

Homey, quiet getaway

We loved the property! It was quiet, private and homey. My fairly recent knee surgery and the staircase made the loft a bit of a challenge, but we really wanted to sleep in the king bed in the loft. Just so you know, the steps are narrow, but they're probably no problem at all for someone with better knees and strength than mine. It's a great space and worth it! We had fabulous weather to enjoy the deck, watch birds, and hot air balloons. The drive into town was shorter than we anticipated as well as scenic.

Lovely Place

We enjoyed the layout of the house, the cleanliness, the yard, the hot tub and the Pacman arcade! Saw deer, bunnies and a variety of birds in the backyard. Very quiet and private.

Relaxing trip

My friends and I came up for two nights and had a very enjoyable stay on Foxwood Path. We enjoyed the pool very much and walks around the property. If we had any issues, the owners were very quick to respond.
