The south wing of the home boasts 4 bedrooms with a loft and 4 bathrooms, while the north wing features 1 bedroom, a loft, and 1 bathroom, ensuring privacy and convenience for all guests. Both wings come equipped with full kitchens, providing flexibility and convenience for meal preparation as well as separate living and entertainment areas giving everyone plenty of space to enjoy themselves.

If you're looking to come together as a large group, the south wing of the home has more than enough room for all your group to gather and enjoy a family meal or perhaps some après drinks and snacks. The Skittles are to leave a trail so you don't get lost.This property was absolutely fantastic. I was going to write a long review, but there's just too much. This place has it all, we're definitely looking to come back next year

Thanksgiving 2024

Overall, it was a very nice place to rent. It sleeps 14 - we only had 10 adults then 11 total the last night. The room with twin beds were former bunk beds and that was tough to utilize with tall adults. The treads on the steps need to be replaced or re-glued. Loved all the heated floors and loved the steam shower in the master bedroom. The other steam shower only had a few streams working but a family member was able to unclog all the others. Some of the extra comforters and white bed covers needed better cleaning. We needed a regular size broom with dustpan. No kitchen washcloths were available so we went to Wal-Mart to purchase. The kitchen was small given the size of the home which made it challenging for big meals. The refrigerator in the wing of the home did not work and we lost our Thanksgiving meal leftovers. Some lamps did not work and extra lightbulbs were needed. Despite small negatives, we truly enjoyed our stay, the location and the ease of use. Staff were responsive to texts (our week was met with a winter storm and brief loss of power). .

Gorgeous massive wonderful house!

Our group of 11 stayed at the Rainbow Lake house for a week in mid June. The house is beautiful, the location is fantastic, and the few things we contacted the rental company about were handled incredibly quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend this house and Summit Mountain Rentals.

Awesome House

This house is the perfect size for a large family. Plenty of room to spread out and everyone have their own space, while also having plenty of room for meals and hanging out. Great location, easy access to ski resorts and a short walk to town. Overall the best place we’ve stayed at with our large family.

Great spot in Frisco

What a great spot in Frisco with beautiful views and was a perfect place for our large group. Plenty of room for everyone with space for everyone to have their own room and bed without feeling claustrophobic.

2022 Frisco family vacation

Cons: This was once a lovely home, but alas it's fallen on hard times. Bathrooms? Disaster. The master suite's hot tub was boarded over. The ceiling in the bathroom below looked soagy/soft. The celing in the bathroom below the second was black with mold and emmitted a foul odor. (The day before our party of 12 arrived, we were apprised of the situation and were reimbursed a night's stay because of it.) The microwave died on us. The dishwasher shelves were in serious need of repair/replacement. Various fans in the house failed to function—the controls for the master bedroom weren't hooked up to anything). Wood on the main deck was rotting. Pros: Management was cooperative. The property was close to hike/bike trails and the downtown area. The hot tub was an unexpected plus. We were allowed to check in early.

Large Family Vacation

We loved our time in Frisco!! So many wonderful things to do!!! There were 14 of us and everyone loved the location and activities in the area. But we had issues with the home we rented. Arriving at this house was not how I wanted to start our long awaited family vacation. Out of the 5 bathrooms only 3 showers worked. I paid for a house with 5 showers. Below is the list of issues we discovered upon arrival. South lower level king shower was dripping and moldy. Shower above in South Main bedroom unable to use because it leaks into lower shower. There is a board over the jetted tub that in the master bath. Window handles in north kitchen are broken. Window handle in north loft is broken. Handle on patio door in North wing slides off. South loft window - the window will fall out if opened. Light out in bunk bed room and can’t find extra bulbs. Dishwasher is not attached to the cabinet. Rail on deck is rotting and several posts are not attached. No ball for fooseball game, which would have been enjoyed by my family. The ping png table was enjoyable but we had to purchase paddles and balls. The hot tub was clogged and a mess. Between my son and three maintenance visits we got it working on the last day. We did not receive any information in advance about these issues. We arrived on Saturday and a manger called me on Tuesday after two phone calls and several text messages. The manager was very understanding of our concerns and noted that we should have been informed about these issues. He worked with me to try to make it right. This is a beautiful home that either the management company or owner has let go. We loved the location and the house but the needed repairs were a challenge. It is a shame to let the property deteriorate like this. If this house were properly cared for we would stay here again. We enjoyed the access to the trails, town and marina while while being right by the mountain. We were thrilled to see a moose walk by the picture window.

So much potential

There's so much potential for this house. It's huge with plenty of space for a large group to spread out or to be together. The layout is a little confusing, but that's not a major drawback. While the finishes and furnishing are high end, the place has not been maintained well - as noted in several other reviews. Many things didn't work at all or didn't work well - master bathtub, downstairs showers (one leaked water everywhere, one completely inaccessible), limited equipment for ping pong table, no balls for foosball table, dishwasher not attached to counter, oven kicked off smoke with every use, garage not accessible to cars because the snow wasn't cleared. The ceiling fans also had stringy, greasy dust hanging from them. The property manager called us 1 hour before our arrival to tell us about the downstairs shower ceiling collapse - while it didn't get fixed during our visit, he did knock 1 night off our fees. Nothing was done about the snow blocking the garages despite us asking for it to be fixed. Hot water smelled strongly of sulfur. With a dedicated maintenance approach, this place could be top notch.

Awesome spot for big group!

This place was perfect for a wedding we had in Dillon. Walking distance to downtown Frisco and the house was very close to a bike path and hiking trail. There wasn’t too much of a yard but there was pleanty of room in the house and on the deck. Would definitely recommend!

Family Ski Trip

We enjoyed our time at the Rainbow Lake House a great deal. The house is beautiful, large and had wonderful views. The location was great. The dishwasher wasn't working and there were no hair dryers, so we called the property management and they came right out to fix the dishwasher and bring us blow dryers. The kitchen could use some new pots and pans (most our pretty gross) and some more kitchen tools, but there were plenty of plates and silverware for everyone. We accidentally left a load of laundry in one of the dryers, and have been calling the property management but they have been unable to tell us if the laundry was found by the cleaning service and if we can get it back. I'm not sure why this is taking so long and a few of the phone calls I've made to them have been met with irritation with me. One girl told me "ma'am, you are going to have to be patient. We're very busy". I offered to call the cleaning service myself since they were to busy to make a simple call, but was told that they would not give me that information. It's been a week now and we have no idea what happened to a load of laundry. Other than that the property management was great. I just wish they'd make a simple call for us and locate the laundry. We would stay at this location again and we would refer friends and family to this house.

FAMILY REUNION

We had 8 adults, 7 kids and 3 babies with us and the house was great. Very spacious so that the kids could play and the adults could talk. The kitchen and dining was a little tight for all the people but it was fine because we had precooked a lot of the food to make prep easier. Thanks for a great time!

Family reunion

This property was clean but has been used hard. We had 14 adults and 6 children under 6yrs old. Other than the lack of sleeping comfort on the hide-a-beds and a tub in the master bath we were not supposed to use because it leaked through the ceiling, our group was very comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook meals, and lots of space for separate activities.
