The place is huge!! It is also beautiful. Nice spot along the river. We enjoyed sitting on the rooftop and hanging out. We biked on the NRV trail and stayed a couple nights in town. We didn't have a car, so didn't venture too far. The restaurants next door and a couple doors down were good.

Tons of space and great kitchen. Ideal for large groups. It's in the middle of a small town and great if you want peace and quiet.

The property was in a perfect location. Very close to the new river rail to trail. The house was perfect for friends. Every bedroom had a bathroom attached. The house itself was gorgeous. Lots of room and love how the house have been updated. The only issue we had was at the bathrooms, could have been cleaner. The host was very responsive and helpful.

The location to the New River is excellent and roof top deck is a beautiful view. There were some issues addressed with the manager and owner that are being addressed.no gym available but very spacious for a big family.

Wading/Fishing Adventure

Our family had a lovely week at this Fries New River condo. The size was perfect for extended family and each bedroom had room for the little ones' pack'n'plays. Benefit: most bedrooms had their own bath. Walking down to the riverside was easy for everyone; just a few minutes' walk. Though the river was too low for canoeing, we did all enjoy wading/splashing, fishing, and biking the trail. We also enjoyed a morning at Matthews' Living History Farm and an afternoon antique shopping in Galax, both within a 20-minute drive. The owner was pleasantly helpful with any issues we had.

Our stay in Fries

Very nice area for those who enjoy outdoor activities. Next to the river so easy to fish and go kayaking. The bike trail is right here too. Unfortunately most of the trail nearby was closed for maintenance but it is a nice area for hiking as well.

Great river front location for family vacation!

We had a wonderful stay with a large family at this beautiful property! The kitchen was a dream to work in and we loved that 4 of the 5 bedrooms had attached bathrooms. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, and quick to respond when we had a small issue. The location was great for fishing and wading in the river.
