The Space:
Porch Light Hospitality presents The Max - a pet-friendly, fully renovated bungalow in Fredericksburg, Tx. This charming 1BR/1B unit offers comfortable indoor amenities and a private outdoor living space complete with your own hot tub. Tucked away in the historic district of Fredericksburg and just a few blocks from Main Street, The Max is a great getaway location to relax and enjoy all that the Hill Country has to offer.

*Pets can be brought for an additional $50/night/pet.*

The Max is on a quiet neighborhood street offering a peaceful getaway, but just a 10 minute walk to our favorite local coffee shop, Caliche Coffee and the best spicy margaritas in town at Hondo's on Main.

Convenient to Downtown Fredericksburg

Overall, it was very good. We were disappointed that we couldn’t check in before 4:00 pm without having to pay extra. The bed was very comfortable.Since this is a pet friendly property, I would suggest not having rat bait stations in the backyard. I would add that 3 rolls of toilet paper for 2 adults, staying 4 nights is not enough. We had to buy some at a grocery store

Perfect house for your wine country getaway

This was a quaint place to stay for our honeymoon. The house is decorated tastefully, was very clean and we loved the bathroom with its large shower and jetted tub. But our favorite spot was the back yard covered hot tub and outside tv. Such a relaxing spot to unwind with a glass of wine, while watching our favorite shows. We would definitely recommend this place for your wine country getaway.

Perfect Stay

We loved this little cottage! Very clean, comfortable & convenient to all our activities. The spa is relaxing & very private, but the tub/shower combination was the best. Kitchen was well stocked & shopping close by. Highly recommend.

Perfect Anniversary Getaway

We have stayed at multiple properties while visiting Fredericksburg, but this is our new favorite. The house is very cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the backyard area and hot tub each evening. The house is in a great location. You can easily walk to Main Street, or it is a very short drive to parking that is close to shopping and restaurants. This property was perfect for our anniversary getaway. We will definitely stay again!

Updated quaint cottage thats perfectly located.

Well appointed cottage that hugs you as soon as you walk in past its charming welcome. Privacy is in abundance in the rear of the property which further enhances a sense of seclusion. I would not hesitate to book my stay here again. Nicely done!

Perfect in every way

Our stay at The Max cottage was so enjoyable. It isn’t just a “pet-friendly” cottage, it’s a “pet-welcoming” cottage! So sweet to have a jar of doggie biscuits right by the door. And they provided small bowls for food and water along with a leash and poop bags in case they were forgotten. It’s the little things. The size of the cottage was perfect for us and everything was top notch. The sheets were dreamy and the bed super comfy. Thank you for providing coffee. We are particular in our coffee and this was very tasty. Overall and excellent stay. We hope to return again.

Cute and Cozy!

The house was super cute! They have put a lot of hard work and some amazing upgrades to this home. We tried to check in early (2.5 hours) and they told us we would be charged if we did check in early. We have never had this in the past with homes in Fredericksburg so I was shocked and declined. The only issue I had was I know the home is pet friendly and everything was clean but it smelled like wet dog or like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Not freshly cleaned or fresh smell at all. We enjoyed being so close to town and the hot tub was a plus!

Cute house!

We had a great stay. The house was an old house that had been totally renovated. Bathroom was amazing and the kitchen was fully stocked. Nice backyard with a hot tub and was fully fenced in. The only downside was a busy road one house away It could be a little loud at times. It would be a short walk to Main Street.

Perfect Little Bungalow

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was just as it was described on the website. Very clean and comfortable. Within walking distance to historic main street, which was nice. Property owner is very responsive. Highly recommend for any single or couple.
