Diamond Belle | Unique and Beautiful Space

One of award winning builder Richard Laughlin's creations is a limestone rock home designed from a turn of the century Australian outback home with the decor of “Victorian Ranch”. Many of our guests have enjoyed Richard's first creations, Das Jager and Anastasia. The aged metal roof on Diamond Belle is topped with a cupola. Lattice conceals the private front porch.

Inside this one room home is a wonderful queen-size bed with an extraordinarily unique Mission style head and footboard. An array of wonderful fabrics have been tastefully combined and layered to create an awesome duvet cover. To emphasize the bed, a large mirror is featured on the wall behind the headboard. In the middle of the room hanging from the glass cupola is a masterful chandelier surrounded by natural wood ceilings adds that perfect touch of elegance to this rustic cabin. Limestone floors showcase an array of rugs including animal skins.

The large romantic whirlpool tub is surrounded by a collection of antique mirrors, but there is also a separate bathroom with a shower and a fabulous antique vanity. The coffeebar has a microwave, small refrigerator and coffeemaker.

Double doors lead to a “grouse” porch and courtyard. Cedar fencing surrounds the courtyard creating a true sense of privacy. As in Richard's previous creations you will find an outdoor shower (not available in the Winter). There is also a charcoal grill.

Located only a few miles from Fredericksburg “in the bush” this romantic home is a “fair dinkum beaut”. As they say in Australia “give it a burl”, bring your “coldie” enjoy a “bludger” evening, and you will discover that your stay is “rapt”.

Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.

We enjoyed our stay at the Diamond Belle. It was nice, clean and roomy. Will definitely tell my family and friends about the house. I do wish that the back yard had been trimmed so we could have used the outdoor shower. Thank you.

This property was great - we visited Fredericksburg and climbed Enchanted Rock. We had to pick the key up in town, but the instructions were spot on. The property is isolated but close to town. Plenty of space for the two of us. The decor is very unique and locking the front door is a little tricky. Would definitely stay here again.

Very fun unique property. Tons of positives to say about it. Two slight negatives: No closet or place for hanging clothes and trees need trimmed in driveway so you can park without getting your vehicle scratched. Other than these minor things it had a great location and was a very comfortable place to stay.

Great location in Fredericksburg

The location of being out of town, yet very close to town and all that Fredericksburg and the wineries have to offer was what we were looking for. This VRBO was exactly as pictured and described. It is tucked in in a private setting. Only one thing that I want to mention, and it was not serious enough to give less than 5 stars, was that it is close to the highway, and during the day time, there is a fair amount of highway noise, but it quietens down later in the evening.

Diamond Belle was AMAZING!

The home was peaceful and quiet with a romantic touch. The jacuzzi tub and outdoor shower was the best part. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a relaxing getaway.

Relaxing Getaway

Really enjoyed our stay here. The property was easy to get to, only a short distance from the downtown, but out of the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed a nice soak in the tub, sipping wine on the back porch, and sleeping in. A relaxing getaway.

Great eclectic guesthouse

Super romantic little house. Fireplace and all. Jetted hot tub didn't work and outdoor shower was off for the winter but other than that I would highly recommend this place.

Diamond Belle

Enjoyed our short stay at this adorable small old house. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. Only drawback during our visit was the weather changed and it was quite breezy and difficult too stay warm. Overall my wife and I would recommend it place for a quick getaway. Scorpion

Things could have been great had there not been a Scorpion in the covers. I was stung by a scorpion that was under the blanket. I was panicked the entire time that there would be more and had a hard time sleeping, had a hard time walking on the floor just petrified. This was the only time I’ve ever been stung and it ruined my entire trip. The place is beautiful and I will definitely recommend this place to others. For me, it was just a bad experience that no one could have known beforehand.

This was our second time at the property. This time there was a bit of cigarette smoke smell when we arrived. It also wasn’t as clean as the first time. There was a dirty shirt on the side of the couch. Overall we still enjoyed the stay.

Holiday Getaway

Initially we both had doubts when first pulling up, but the beauty is definitely behind the beautiful rustic door. Very quaint, quiet to say the least, just a beautiful hidden treasure. It was worth not staying directly on the Main Street as you will not find something this beautiful. It was great for a short three day get-away. I do recommend you bring a cooler for ice, drinks and snacks as you are outside of town. A huge plus of this rental was the hot water - it was amazing! Did not use the tub so I can not review that but it was pretty. Also, the natural light within the rental is beautiful. It is worth the stay and we have recommended it to others and will consider it for our next trip to Fredericksburg.

Comfy and romantic stay

It was a nice stay overall. The property was quiet and the atmosphere was cozy. We just did not like the bed, unfortunately. It ended up hurting both our backs the next couple of days from the firm mattress. There were a few bugs inside the house but that was too be expected given the remote location. If you want a quiet and romantic place to stay, this house is it.

Great Fredericksburg Trip

Great place! So picturesque and full of personality! Loved the ceiling and stone floors. Would suggest you bring your own pillows if you are picky about that but overall a five star rating.
