  • You can’t get any closer to the water then On The Rocks. This three bedroom camp is located right on George’s Pond in Franklin, Maine. Newly purchased and remodeled!

    **Please, take note we are only taking reservations for two guests.***

    Plenty of fishing and swimming can be done right from the dock.

    MDI/Acadia National Park is about 45 minutes away. Schoodic Peninsula is only about 30 minutes away and very beautiful. You also avoid the Bar Harbor traffic!

    Open concept with full kitchen and three bedrooms.

    Two bedrooms located on the first floor.
    Bedroom One is a King Bed with A Smart Tv.
    Bedroom Two is a Queen Bed with a Smart Tv.

    One full bathroom with a shower and a washer and dryer.

    The kitchen offers a full refrigerator, stove and dishwasher.
    Living room open to the kitchen is also equipped with a smartv, so all your Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. can be accessible to you while you are on vacation.

We really enjoyed how peaceful the area is. It was nice to relax on the dock looking out at the lake. Also, without light pollution, the starry night skies were gorgeous!

The cottage was very clean. The beds were really comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything to cook with. We didn't cook as we ate everything out. The lake view is beautiful with great sunsets. Loved it.

Peace of Loon Heaven

An amazing place to stay while we explored Maine. Secluded , quiet , super clean and comfy Loons right off the dock , lots of loon calls at night . Fabulous stars when it isn’t cloudy .

This is an excellent property, beautifully clean, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. We stayed for 5 nights during a road trip through New England. We used it as a base to explore Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and the Maine coast. We found the location perfect, about 30 mins drive to wherever we needed to go. It was extremely comfortable, peaceful and with the most incredible views over the lake. Very sad to leave.

Amazing stay, great hosts!

This is an amazing property. It’s also incredible clean and well maintained. It fits the description perfectly to a T. It’s a nice peaceful calming setting as well. Both of the hosts are very welcoming, and the instructions are also super simple and clear! I would recommend this to anyone and already want to come back!

Amazing Experience

This place was absolutely fantastic! The view of the sunset on the lake was beautiful, if we wanted to just stay at the house there was plenty to do. The owners were helpful and gave us all kind of suggestions on places to visit and things to do.

The home & proximity to the Harbors & Acadia National Park is perfect. Georges Pond is absolutely picturesque; you must take advantage & take the kayaks out ~ so peaceful. I would definitely stay again.

Picture perfect location!

On The Rocks was as beautiful as you can imagine fall in Maine would be! You literally are right on the lake, view is gorgeous. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything we needed, close to hiking and seeing the coastline of Maine. We enjoyed our stay very much!

On The Rocks Cabin

Cabin was beautiful. Right on George's Pond beautiful area. Comfy beds, roomy kitchen and bath for a Cabin, plenty of relaxing area after a day of hiking in Acadia. We loved it!
