Easton Escape 'a notch above' truly lives up to its name! This adorable, well-maintained chalet offers everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing vacation for your family or travel group! Perfect for a mountain getaway, no matter the season, here you can warm up by the wood-burning fireplace, soothe your trail weary muscles in the private, outdoor hot tub, or gather around the firepit for unbelievable stargazing thanks to the lack of ambient light in the area. Inside, you'll also find a well-equipped, full kitchen with a breakfast bar, a dining table for six, a cozy living area with a flatscreen TV, and a furnished basement level complete with a bar for entertaining!

Things to Know
Up to two family dogs (40 lbs. max.) are welcome
* Please note that an online fire permit is required to use the firepit. Permits must be purchased ahead of time. Wood should not be carried over state lines.
** Route 116 is a scenic bike route while Route 112 is a scenic byway

Poor management - Friday evening we found the internet was not working (one person must be able to be reached by phone so this was a problem but there is a landline so that number was provided as a back up). Also the hottub had been turned off and it wasn't warm again until the next night. We used the landline to call the management company and report the internet - never received a return call. Saturday morning the local property manager called my cell while we were in town. He said it was the owners who had been at the property and turned off the hot tub. He said he would be there after 3pm to look at the internet. We were gone for the day and I asked him to update me after he checked it out. I also explained that my son, who is a navy, is on call 24/7 and really needed the internet to receive messages while we were at the cabin as there was no phone service. I never heard back, even after reaching out at 6pm. It didn't appear anyone had been at the house and the internet was still not working. You should also know one of the barstools is broken, and all the slats in the bottom of the small futon in the basement are broken. In general the visible parts of the house were clean but when you look for missing socks or an empty outlet, you can see dead bugs, dust, and small pieces of trash around the furniture. And one last thing, the back door to the kitchen was unlocked when we arrived. We wouldn't have noticed it but we mistook that for the front door.

Nice cabin in the woods - hot tub was a bonus! More instructions on how the fans/ac would have been helpful but all in all a good stay and would book again.

Needs updating outside, things are aged. Mouse in kitchen. Septic system failed, could not get ahold of owner. Limited wireless access. Hours later when office relayed issue, the maintenance person arrived, he was sympathetic and helped us get into another unit 15 minitues away that was also run by VACASA. We packed up and moved but unfortunately new unit did not have a hot tub. It was our anniversary.

The place was fantastic. Great central location to get places for a day hike and enjoy the local area. The house itself was huge and very spacious, we never felt too crowded. The hot tub was great and very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful peaceful stay!

Amazing property the cleaners they hire should mop more often. Besides that it was a beautiful peaceful stay, close to a little stream creek that runs behind the house ina 1 minute trail walk from the home. The rooms where all comfortable and had an ac in each room and living space. Only down side was we did get bit by ticks but thats to be expected when in the mountains. I noticed the only poeple bit and needed ticks pulled off, slept in the upstairs bedrooms. Everything was just exceptional close to waterparks and to waterfalls that are worth site seeing. We also went to swim and fish about 30 minutes away in a lake not far at all. Bring your telescopes to not miss out on the incredible stars that show up there at night. Would very much book a stay again.

Nice location

The house is as advertised. It was nice to sit in the hot tub at night and listening to the owls. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful.While both TVs seemed to have surround sound systems or speakers, we could not figure out how to engage them (and these kinds of things are not new to us). I would recommend that someone write up some directions and leave in each room - it would have been nice to enjoy those features, especially in the big 'theater room' downstairs. Unfortunately the glass cooktop was filthy with baked on food. I was able to clean it before use, but it was a bit disappointing. Some of the pans were put away wet and were rusty, and some of the silverware had food caked on. I'm in the habit of washing things before using them anyway, but do expect that things should be visibly clean. We realize that this could have been a result of the prior guest or the cleaning crew. I will echo the comment of another guest in regards to the pans that were at the house. They were all warped, which made it very difficult to cook things.

Beautiful home

I loved our stay here. We came to an exceptionally clean house. No complaints other than the toilet in the basement. Whether it was #1 or #2 it got clogged. Every time we used the bathroom we had to use the plunger right after. Very stressful lol. Other than that everything was great.

Great Trip to New Hampshire

Great property, loved how the hot tub was ready to go, hot and clean, plenty of privacy. Picked this house because it was close to the Franconia hike i planned to do. If i had to nit pick.. ceiling fan blades were dusty in the bedroom and the mattress wasnt too comfortable. Kitchen supplies were bare bones had sugar and maple syrup but no cooking oil, the one item i forgot! had to drive to price chopper and pick up butter that looked like a bunny so all good!

FANTASTIC! ….But…

This cabin rental was perfect for my friends and family who stayed w me at different times. Clean, very functional with enough room to allow separation between members. Fireplace and hot tub were super to have. Very quiet location and with access to mountains and cool little villages/shops nearby. A few notes for renters-owner/managers. Make sure people know up front you have to supply your own firewood. Cooking stove is glass top style and a couple of the skillets provided have rounded(not flat) bottoms and will not heat up

What a great place for a winter week's stay! Quiet and peaceful, with great upstairs and downstairs spaces for everyone. Walking trails right outside your door, warm and cozy inside. Would come again!

Great location, process not ideal.

The fees associated with the rental cost mode than the nights stay making this way more expensive than intended. No where in the listing are the check-in instructions because you have to create an account through Vacasa to verify your identity before a code is emailed to you. I "messaged the host" to notify them I never received an email act e recieivng a text stating that I was going to and it was all just very confusing until I googled Vacasa myself and created an account. This is incredibly difficult to accomplish when you're in an area that has little to no service. Overall the properly was very enjoyable but the check in process makes me not want to do it again.

We have stayed here in 2021 and the house was just as beautiful as before. The house was clean and the check in process was easy. The hot tub is an amazing bouns.tub id tub

It was a great home, private location, fire pit, grill, everything that was to be expected. Nice little trail walk to the creek. I would come back. The management company needs to clean a bit better in general; e.g., on under furniture, dust, upkeep porch, and some manicuring of the landscape is needed. The bottom of the fire pit is rotted out and owner should get a new one.

Great home, great location, but…

We stayed here from Thursday night through Sunday morning. The place was clean, everything was good and I have no complaints from that aspect of our stay. However, there was mold.. and a lot of it. One entire wall, the wall in the front against the 4 seasons has an overgrowth of mold that is all over the paneling. By night 2 half of us couldn’t breath from inhaling the mold all weekend and we had to keep windows open to let in fresh air. Once that is addressed, this place is a 10/10 stay.
