The Oyster is a short walk from Highway 98 “The Miracle strip “ This area is lined with some of the best restaurants, shopping and night life in the area. The Fort Walton Beach Landing is also in walking distance it is know for the famous Billy Bowlegs Festival that happens in the beginning of May in fact The Torch light Parade lines the road in front of the Historic Oyster Cottage during that time. The Oyster is located 3 minutes away from Okaloosa Island, you will go over the Brooks Bridge that overlooks the intercoastal waterway where you will find the world’s most beautiful beaches with emerald green waters and sugar white sand . Okaloosa island also has fantastic dining with world famous restaurants ,shopping, and loads of fun! For the sportsman’s that didn’t bring your boat there is also the Okaloosa Island Pier, so much fun fishing off the huge pier that goes into the Gulf of Mexico! For those that do bring your boat you are about 10 minutes away from Destin east pass, where the fishing is ! once known as Florida’s Famous little fishing village now is one of the most sought vacation destination in the country. The Harbor walk is located by the Destin East Pass and it is lined with boat ,paddle board, wave runners, and parasailing rentals ,restaurants, shopping , arcades, and spas .
