Upscale Hollywood Lakes is defined by its art deco and Mediterranean revival homes and public green spaces, including West Lake Park, which has hiking trails and kayak rentals, and Holland Park, with an observation tower overlooking the water. Basic motels and casual restaurants line Highway 1, as do pizzerias and sports pubs. Along the Stranahan River are refined seafood restaurants with sunset views.
