  • Luxury Villa Poggio Secco is located in a fairy-tale setting among the gentle hillsides just south of Florence.
    The property is set on a large plot of beauty and peace, making this villa the perfect location for several couples or an extended family seeking a holiday in close proximity to Florence. The location could not be better, set on an idyllic hillside just 15 minutes (8 km) from Florence. This elegant country house is within an hour's drive of all of the beautiful hill towns and vineyards in the Chianti area.The villa offers easy access to both the center of Florence and the Chianti region, so you can alternate trips to the Uffizi and the Duomo with excursions to the countryside of Tuscany.
    The closest village, Grassina is at 3km away from the property. This town has several bars, grocery shops, bakery, butcher, and a hairdresser.
    Riding and a golf facilities are available at 4 km. from the house.
    A short unpaved road (200 m) leads to the farmhouse, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
    The house has been fully restored last year and the attention to detail and beauty is remarkable.
    We have a large private garden with a large patio overlooking the Tuscan country side. You can enjoy sipping a glass of Chianti while barbecuing some Tuscan stake. The house is furnished with original 18th century furniture.

    Inside:
    Villa Poggio Secco boost some beautiful tiled floors and beamed ceilings, and is divided into two floors.
    The 3 double bedrooms all with a double beds are located on the ground floor.
    Plus an extra mezzanine with a private bathroom and luxury sofabed is located upstairs.
    Air conditioning system and underfloor heating available in the whole property.
    Bathrooms:
    A large bathroom downstairs with a bathtub and separate shower. A upstairs bathroom with a bathtub.
    Kitchen:
    Large open plan kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave and many other luxuries.
    Living Rooms:
    Large Living room with fireplace and a sofabed.
    Other:
    Tv room with access to the upstairs mezzanine with sofabed and bathroom.
    Parking:
    The villa has its own two private parking spots and private driveway.
    Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service:
    All towels linen and cleaning of the flat included in the price.
    Accessibility
    Parking available in front of house, no stairs present, this allows for an easy access to this property.

    450 square meters garden with a large patio which includes a barbecue, table and chairs.

Nice villa in the hills of Tuscany!

We had a lovely week in this house with its fantastic garden and view. By car you can reach everything you need within 15 minutes, including Florence.

The villa was large and spacious, just a note, there is only one shower. That wasn’t clear in the pictures on VRBo. We made it work! There is only one key provided l, we wish there would have been two sets of keys. The gas stove probably needs to be replaced. Only a couple of the burners worked, so we were a little bummed out when cooking. However, the villa is a fortress and absolutely beautiful. If you are not used to recycle restrictions; this will be difficult for some. It is very precise. A car is an absolute must! Otherwise; the villa was outstanding! The owner was available any time I had questions and was very nice.

What a beautiful property!

We had so much fun at this house. The property was clean and the views were gorgeous! The host next door assisted with anything we needed from taxi requests and even ordered food for delivery for us!

we stayed five nights and days at this lovely home. spacious comfortable and modern accommodations with an attentive host. beautiful views of Chianti region and close to local wineries & restaurants. a car is a must but keep it small… navigating the one lane roads is not for the faint of heart. excellent stay

The ideal location for peace , relax , feel like you are living as a local. Location was perfect for one day are two day Train trips to Venice, Pizza , Rome. And more. Host was extremely helpful 24-7 to whatever our needs were.

This was our favorite stay in Italy! The view is absolutely stunning. We had plenty of room for our family of 4. Beds were very comfortable. David and Delfina were quick to respond to questions and recommendations. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful escape in Tuscany

The house was awesome, the location well worth the experience of getting up the hill. Delfina and David were incredibly helpful in every way possible. They also introduced us to Francesco, who helped get us around, he was awesome as well.

We enjoyed our stay in this house. Delfina was very nice and helpful. The house is in a lovely quiet location with a great view, everything was comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped. We are glad we booked a car so we enjoyed the local food and wineries around. The streets are very narrow, but we eventually got used to driving. It was one of the best holidays for our family!

Beautiful and relaxing

The pictures in the listing don't really do justice to how beautiful this home and the surrounding countryside truly are. The owners were very responsive and helpful with everything from settling in, to information about the nearby town of Grassina, to educating us on the public transit available.

Great escape!

Our family of 4, incl 2 teens really enjoyed the quick commute to the countryside after a busy day in Florence. House had 2 bathrooms, large bedrooms and enough space to spread out. Backyard view and patio space made meals outside a treat! Cable TV was a hit with the teens. Owner was very responsive…
