"I stayed only a few nights and had wonderful experience. Place is relatively easy to find - this relaxing walk through the green park was a big joyful bonus. Very clean room, comfy bed, good shower. Attention to detail in any aspect. So, it was a real pleasure to return to my room after spending a day in a busy town. Thank you Fiona and Ricardo for making my stay so special. I won't hesitate to rebook again."

"Perfectly situated for a walk around York! Our room was clean, comfortable and bright. Breakfast was fresh with a wide selection of options available while other restaurant meals served well after a day of activity. Staff were friendly and happy to help with our enquiries. Would recommend this hotel."

"Breakfast is not to be missed. Cooked to order and a bargain at £12.50. The produce used is top class.
The bar and dining room are very nice. Just what you'd expect from a pub/hotel.
Staff were excellent and the rooms spotless.
The rooms are typical of an old building. Practical and very clean. The odd paint scuff but expected in this style of property.
So near the city crntre with free parking this property is an absolute bargain. Great value for money. Highly recommended"

"The location was good, though parking was difficult in the back alley. The room was quite hot, even on a cool day, and were it not for the ability to open the window and use a fan (already in the room) it would have been very comfortable. The condition of the room - new and clean - was very good."
