The Retreat is a luxury cabin with panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This secluded log cabin is tucked away out of sight – so whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or family adventure – relaxation, great memories and an escape from everyday are assured. This spacious 3-bedroom mountain cabin offers the perfect retreat for families or groups, comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests. The home features one king bed in the primary bedroom, a full bed in each of the two additional bedrooms, two twin beds in the loft, and a bunk bed in the basement area.

The living room includes cozy gas log fireplace, while the porch offers a propane grill for outdoor cooking. Entertainment options include a foosball table, an outdoor hot tub, and televisions in every bedroom. All TVs are equipped with YouTube TV, and the downstairs TV is designed as a gaming TV for added enjoyment.

The Retreat is designed to be your vacation enclave and features three levels, each with amazing views of Blue Ridge Mountain vistas. Whether you’re seeking relaxation or fun, this cabin provides the perfect setting for a memorable mountain getaway.

This home is located in the 4000 acre, Leatherwood Mountain Resort in Ferguson, NC. Our guests are invited to enjoy our Horseback Riding program where you can experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains pristine wilderness by Horseback (reservation required). You will have access to miles of hiking trails, mountain streams, stocked fishing pond, community swimming pool, play ground and tennis courts, creek tubing (seasonal), on-site restaurant with active live music & event calendar (guest advised to check hours when planning meals).

Leatherwood Mountains has surveillance or recording devices on the property. Our neighborhood is very safe and our property very secluded. For added peace of mind, we have security cameras by the gated entrance and common areas. Individual properties may also have cameras on the EXTERIOR of homes. Please be assured they are not directed at private areas, hot tub porches etc.

Perfect in every way with breathtaking views

from the moment you step in there is warmth, hospitality and beauty . we have stayed in many places - this was amongst the best. Very clean, beautifully decorated and just perfect . It is a wonderful spot to be with family and the views are incredible. Cannot recommend enough. We are so grateful to the owners for sharing their beautiful spot

Mountain “Retreat”

We have an amazing time at The Retreat. It was a beautiful view, great location and the kids had an amazing time. The house can fit a larger group and next time we’ll be sure to bring more family. There were plenty of things to do including horseback riding and hiking. The house was clean and had awesome decor. We’ll be back!

Great view but a little disappointed in property anenities

The house was amazing and had everything you needed…. Shampoo, coffee, creamer, towels, spices and other cooking basics like oil/butter. Bummed that they only do horseback riding and we’re booked both weekends we were there, the creek was too shallow to tube and the big fishing pond was dried up. The views were amazing and all the hams were appreciated on the rainy days.

We loved the house and property. The house was well appointed and very comfortable. It rained the entire time but we had everything we needed at the house to have a wonderful family weekend. The only negative thing I can say about the house is it’s infested with stink bugs.

A slice of heaven

Really a fabulous, breathtaking view. Sunsets and star gazing were phenomenal! The unit has two k cup coffee makers. Bring k cups! Kitchen was otherwise extremely well stocked otherwise. Everything you need! Hot tub was great as was fire pit and grill! Game room is a really nice bonus! Kept the kids entertained all weekend! Drive up to the property is steep and winding, be prepared in inclement weather. I would suggest bringing a pillow from home for adults, honestly my only complaint. Pillows in the master bedroom were nice but in other beds not so comfortable. Really fantastic location and views! Pretty clean although any mountain property is going to have stink bugs and we did, they didn't bother us much though and it wasn't a big deal. Thanks for your hospitality! Really enjoyed our stay!
