A really beautiful home and property run by caring folks. The country setting is wonderful and seeing horses out the back window in the morning was very special for us. Great location with outstanding hosts!

Perfect verblijf !

Wij hebben 2 nachten geslapen op deze mooie plek . Erg fijn bed, erg lekker ontbijt en de gastheer en gastvrouw zijn hele lieve mensen die het echt leuk vinden dat je er bent. Je voelt je zo welkom als je verblijft in hun prachtige huis. De veranda is een heerlijke plek om van de rust te genieten. Voor ons was het een perfect verblijf !

Loved everything about our stay at the Hopestead. The decor was lovely. The bed was super comfy. Breakfast was delicious. The hospitality that Michael and Vanessa shared was wonderful. My husband and I got to walk the premises and see the horses and friendly mule JJ. We had a great visit. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone in town for the Jack Daniel’s tour.

Beautiful, historic home.

This beautiful historic home is full of updated luxury. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds ive ever slept in. The home has lots of open spaces for people to sit and read, play games, or engage in conversation. The bathroom is pretty, and the bathtub shower has excellent water pressure. I had my white noise tuned in on my phone to help with some of the noises that float up from the first floor. I also used it when a dog kept barking during the middle of the night. I would suggest bringing ear plugs just in case.

Wonderful, charming stay

Our first few days in Tennesse and the venue couldn’t have been better. Michael and Vanessa have a lovely home and they are the warmest of hosts. A perfect experience - great venue and great people. We cannot recommend enough

The owners of this Bed and Breakfast very extremely courteous and friendly. We showed up a little late at night but Vanessa stayed up to welcome us. The breakfast spread was just delicious! We had great conversations with Mike and Vanessa.

Staying here was a highlight of our vacation

Great vibes! Michael and Vanessa have created a warm and inviting bed and breakfast. Our room was private and cozy for a peaceful rest. The breakfast was made to order and served in the dining room. Our most memorable experience was at that table visiting with the other guests and hosts. It was a highlight of our vacation in Tennessee!

Nicest people ever. Amazing house with such history you can truly tell they love hosting people. I got there and had some work left to do so I sat out back(great wifi) and did my work while watching the horses, sunset and fireflies at night. Best stay of our whole trip

Great relaxing 3 night stay at the historical Hopestead Inn. Michael and Vanessa looked after us with Tennessee hospitality, and plenty of local knowledge on where to go, restaurants, and attractions. Breakfasts included with the accommodation were a great start to the day. We tried all 3 breakfasts with the Shrimp and Grits a favourite. Only a short drive to the town of Lynchburg . Highly recommended if you are looking for accommodation in this area.

The owner was very welcoming and has a lot of information about the history of the property to share with us. They were very nice to prepared and leave out a special to go breakfast for us before we headed out early to run the half marathon. Thank you again and we had a great time and the Honey Room and joint bathroom was beautiful.

This is the perfect retreat when you are visiting the Lynchburg area. The property is a historical treasure that has been tastefully updated for your comfort. The 50 acre setting is peaceful and relaxing, though only a few minutes away from dining and Jack Daniel’s distillery. The hosts and the food are the perfect complement to your stay!

We stayed March 17 and were welcomed by the 2 sweet pups and then upon our entrance we met with Vanessa. She welcomed us as if we long time friends. The home was beautifully decorated and felt cozy and welcoming. The room was everything I expected from the cozy bed to the spacious area to relax to the beautiful bathroom. The weather was great for sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch to walking around the property with Oakley the pup to walk with us. It was such a lovely place and would completely stay again! Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was the best I had had in a long time. We ate breakfast with both Vanessa and Michael and talked like old friends! Truly a lovely and hospitable bed and breakfast that I would recommend 10 times over.
