Higher Ground is one of the only vacation rentals in the area with a private downhill mountain bike park and hiking trails on the property - four interconnected trails dropping 300 vertical feet through pine forest, ridden directly from the cabin. Inside, a newly constructed four-bedroom home with two king en-suites, a hot tub on the lower patio, and a curated vinyl library waits for the end of the day.
The Space
Built top-to-bottom with luxury fixtures, custom cabinetry, and premium built-in appliances. The upstairs Great Room features floor-to-ceiling windows, a wood-burning fireplace, and a mounted smart TV - opening into a chef's kitchen with a walk-in pantry, coffee bar, and seating for ten (six at the dining table, four at the island bar). Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi runs throughout the home, so the workation crowd can extend the long weekend. Step out onto the elevated deck for the propane grill, or take the exterior staircase down to the hot tub on the lower-level patio. Two separate living areas mean two groups can do their own thing - one upstairs in front of the fireplace, the other downstairs with a record player, vinyl library, and game table. And out the front, the trailhead.

The Bike Park
Higher Ground has a private gravity-fed mountain bike park out the front door. Four interconnected, professionally built trails drop 300 vertical feet through pine forest, with progression from a beginner-friendly green flow trail to a true black diamond with commitment-required features. The system carries 12 large berms (including a custom wooden banked berm), 2 large tabletop jumps, a double jump, 2 elevated plank rides, a wooden drop-in feature, and multiple line choices throughout. E-bikes are welcome - and recommended for maximizing laps without needing a shuttle. The trails are reserved exclusively for registered guests; a signed liability waiver and appropriate safety gear are required. Full-face helmets, knee protection, and gloves are strongly recommended for the advanced and black diamond trails. Beyond the bike park, the 7.53 wooded acres are yours to wander on foot - the same forest, slower pace.
Outside
The home sits on 7.53 heavily wooded acres in the Beaver Ridge neighborhood - private, surrounded by pine forest with no immediate neighbors visible through the trees. The four downhill bike trails climb and descend the mountainside right from the property; hiking trails wind through the same forest at a slower pace. The elevated upstairs deck is your morning-coffee perch; the lower-level patio is your end-of-day hot tub. At 10,558 ft, summer nights stay cool and the stargazing is exceptional.
