The property was great. The property manager or owner was quick to answer and took care of any issues right away. I would highly recommend this property.

Fun house with peaceful surroundings!

We stayed at the River House for a weekend for a wedding of a family member. The house was clean, spacious, had comfortable furniture and so many activities within the home and on the property that we didn’t get to use due to our plans making us all wish we would have booked our stay for a longer time. There were no issues with the house but when we had a question about something, the host was very accommodating and responsive, which we all really appreciated. We hope to come back for a longer stay in the near future.

We had a great stay and the property was conveniently located to both our work and fun places to eat! After the initial shock of the surroundings and dirt road to get to the property, everything else was great. We did have a small issue with locks, but the host was very responsive and helpful.

Absolutely Amazing Stay!We had an incredible time at this property! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the owner put a lot of thought into every detail to make the stay special. Communication was seamless, and we felt welcomed right away.The place itself was stunning—well-maintained, comfortable, and packed with thoughtful touches. We loved discovering little luxuries like the bidets in every bathroom, and the extra amenities provided, such as fishing poles and large outdoor games, made our stay even more enjoyable.We visited for a Valentine’s couples retreat, and it was the perfect setting to unwind. Sitting outside, surrounded by nature, was pure tranquility. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or a bit of outdoor fun, this place has it all.We highly recommend staying here and would absolutely come back again!

Perfect for a brief family getaway

Really enjoyed this beautiful house! The kitchen was prepared for cooking in, the beds were comfy, bathrooms were stocked, and the scenery was quiet and relaxing. Host was super communicative and welcoming. Perfect setup for a family vacay.

Octagon adventure

We treated our grandchildren (ages 4-10) to a weekend visiting the Foley area. The train museum and outlet mall one day followed by a sunrise breakfast on the beach the next morning, and the Fish River house was a wonderfully situated base for everything! The kids loved the tire swing and the rope swings at the dock, and even got to cast a line or two. The boys loved watching the boats ease in and out of the marina next to the house and our granddaughter was happy to have her own bathroom! The kitchen is central with rooms off to the sides but still afforded privacy when desired. Kevin brought some new towels and glassware because he thought we might need them, so he really cares about his guests! Wonderful experience & We plan to return!
