"The Selwyn is such an excellent hotel. It’s beautiful and quiet, despite the planes overhead. The bed was comfortable, the shower/tub was wonderful. I loved always having bottled water in the room. The breakfast always surprises me. Both continental and a menu you can order from. The staff is beyond compare. They’re so friendly and willing to make you as comfortable as can be. It’s nice to be so close to the Tube. I’ll definitely be back again."

"The room was spacious, and the mattress comfortable. The room was freezing cold, and I didn't get to speak with anyone to get heating. The duvet is very thin, so it was a cold stay. Also the shower wasn't great. Good water pressure mostly, but it did drop so the shower was more of a trickle than a shower. Plus, the shower wasn't all that clean- dusty and water marked."

"The Petersham has a lovely riverside setting in Richmond, and the surroundings are the best part of the stay. The location is hard to beat for walking along the Thames and getting into Richmond. The rest of the stay was uneven. Shower was terrible, no fan or AC in hot room.
For the price I expected a more polished experience. It's a good place to stay for the setting, but I'd want a few details fixed before I recommend it without hesitation. Three stars."

"This property is situated right on the Thames which allows walking access to all kinds of restaurants and shops! It's also convenient to get down town to the center. It has great access to views, especially the Richmond View Point. A beautiful coffee/bar place inside the property offering all sorts of options! A fantastic place to rest and relax for a journey! Night life was also assessable just blocks down!"

"Not bad, not great.
The room was a bit dirty at my arrival but not overly.
The balcony is not a balcony. Just an extra space in the room with big windows facing apartments. There should be another layer of curtains (sheer ones), so you can let the sunlight in and have privacy.
No room service. No big deal as I’m a tidy person but I was surprised."
