The Golden Saddle is a stunning custom log home on Wallowa Lake’s west side—perfect for families or couples. Sleeps 10 with 4BR/3BA, a main-level king suite (jacuzzi tub), coffee bar and lake-view deck with private dock (seasonal). Enjoy the stone fireplace, pool table, and flatscreen TVs. Features Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, and parking for 3m Pet friendly—your ideal lakeside retreat!
( 4WD/chains/traction tires **STRONGLY** recommended in winter-we'd require them if we could!)

Guest Interaction & Communication

We’ll stay in touch with you via email or messaging, depending on where you booked. About 8 hours before your arrival, you’ll receive a message with everything you need for a smooth check-in, including:

Your smart lock access code and simple instructions on how to use it

The property address

A link to your online welcome manual for the home

For peace of mind, an emergency contact number is listed in the Guest Handbook, and on the day of your arrival we’ll also share the direct phone number for our Market Operations Manager should you need assistance during your stay.

We’re here to help and want your visit to be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible!

Lakefront neighborhood. Neighbors on either side of the home. Drive way is steep and shared. DO NO BLOCK the road way for neighbors.

Guest has full access of home. There is a locked door with owner storage downstairs. And owner locked storage closet upstairs in Queen/single bed bedroom.

Welcome to your perfect lakefront getaway! This large log home offers the ideal mix of rustic charm and modern comfort, sitting right on the water’s edge with stunning views and a private dock (available approximately May 15th–September 10th, depending on lake levels). With space for up to 10 guests and pet-friendly accommodations (2 dogs max), it’s perfect for families and groups seeking both adventure and relaxation.

Whether you’re relaxing by the fire, enjoying a summer evening on the deck, or playing pool with family and friends, this beautiful lakeside retreat has everything you need for a memorable mountain escape.

You'll need your own form of transportation. In the winter we highly recommend that guests travel with traction tires and or chains and 4WD. This home has a steep drive way that is shaded with trees, frequently icy during winter.

Pet friendly- 2 dog max
3 vehicles- no boat trailer parking DO NOT BLOCK THE ROAD. Park in front of the home or by the woodshed.
Steep driveway- **STRONGLY** recommend 4WD and/or chains during the winter
No cable- but has tv and streaming device

House Rules

No Smoking
There is no smoking inside the home or near open windows or doors.
This includes cigarettes, vaping, and any smoke-producing products.

In pet-friendly homes:
Keep pets off beds and furniture.
Pick up after your pets outside.
Pets may not wander to neighboring homes, bark excessively, or chase wildlife.
Service animals are always welcome (they are not considered pets), but we do ask that you provide the proper documentation.

Prohibited Items & Activities
No illegal substances of any kind.
No fireworks.
No fires, including fire pits, unless your home specifically provides an approved fire feature.
No campers, RVs, tents, or outdoor sleeping setups.
No additional vehicles beyond what your reservation allows.

Guest & Occupancy Limits
Do not exceed the maximum occupancy of the home at any time, per county regulations.
Example: If the home sleeps 6, you may not have 12 guests over for dinner—even if no one stays overnight.

Noise & Neighborhood Courtesy
Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
No loud music at any time.
Please be respectful—be a good neighbor.
Do not block any driveways or roads.

Security Cameras
For the safety of guests and property, entry doors are equipped with cameras focused only on the doorway area. During the winter there is an additional camera on the woodshed that is used to gauge snowfall for plowing purposes.

If your home includes a dock, please note:
Docks are seasonal, typically available mid-May through Labor Day, depending on weather and lake conditions.
BBQs & Patio Furniture
Outdoor furniture and BBQs are seasonally placed and may not be available during the winter months or severe weather.

WiFi
During peak season, WiFi may run slower due to high usage in the area.

Cell Coverage
Coverage varies by carrier:
Verizon – strongest overall
US Cellular – generally reliable
AT&T & T-Mobile – often spotty in some areas

Travel & Winter Conditions
If you are visiting during the winter months:
Chains and/or traction tires are strongly recommended.
4WD or AWD vehicles are highly recommended due to icy and snowy road conditions.
Please plan ahead for winter driving—road conditions can change quickly.
