Great potential but lack of overall care
Location great, but generally very unorganized rental with lack of understanding what is acceptable practice for rental
All three Cabins were dirty, unacceptable condition in all areas. Moldy coffee pot, dirty floors and countertops and disgusting condition of bathrooms. Cabins were not ready when we arrived, even past the checkin time. We never received towels until after we returned from dinner and never had kitchen or bath hand towels or wash clothes ever delivered. Had to clean just to be able to use kirchen and baths. Refrigerators were dirty as well. Actually looked like someone was living there and just left before we arrived.
Location is good and plenty of water toys to use. Those too were in dirty condition.
The property owner lived on premises with dog which was not clear. He greeted us and was around when we were which was a little creepy as some Cabins had no window coverings on bath, bed or living room. Lots of improvements to the property were being made and he clearly is trying to improve. The fire pit and grill are good quality, however grill ran out of propane in middle of family breakfast for 8, which was inconvenient.
We never were able to lock the Cabins because owner failed to provide door code after asking twice. We had to leave our belongings unlocked which also not acceptable.
The property has great potential if managed properly. Inquired about a partial refund for condition and return of cleaning fee, but did not get either returned to me. Very disappointing that the property was not in condition to be rented.
