Bring your bike and enjoy miles of beautiful roadways. Enjoy all the comforts of this newly renovated charming cottage with many amenities. Cottage is decorated in charming nautical motif. It has 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath. Living room. Fully equipped kitchen, with covered deck.

Wonderful Getaway

We had a wonderful stay! The cottage was clean, well-kept, and in a perfect location for exploring all that Door County has to offer. Whether we were heading to nearby shops, restaurants, or outdoor adventures, everything was just a short drive away. The host was responsive and communicated clearly throughout our stay, which made everything even smoother. This was truly a perfect home base for our Door County trip, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Forget Me Not Cottage

Forget Me Not Cottage is very charming and comfortable. Owner Darla is welcoming and most hospitable. The nautical decor is delightful and we had everything we needed. Ellison Bay is much smaller and quieter than the other towns on Hwy 42 and we truly appreciated that. We highly recommend Forget Me Not Cottage.

Such a wonderful VRBO for 2! The decor is so unique and fun! The kitchen area is the perfect size to have breakfast and plan our next day activities. The bedroom is really cute and cozy with fun blue and white accent pieces. The sitting area with tv was a perfect place to relax in the evening after active days hiking, biking, golfing and more. The location is close to a few restaurants so you don’t have to get in the car after a long day. The host Darla was very helpful and gave us great suggestions.

Excellent Experience

The property was lovely. There are great amenities including a tv in the living room and lots of games. As the listing suggests, there is no air conditioning, but there are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom which were enough to cool it down perfectly while we were there (upper 70s/lower 80s for daytime high temps). There are also has standing fans available to be used if needed which was a great additional consideration! The property is exceptionally clean and the decor is very well selected and perfect for the setting. The location is ideal for sightseeing being optimally located close to Washington Island to the north as well as other attractions to the south. It is on a relatively busy road but is set back far enough that you don't even notice the moderate trafic. It is attached to the owner's antique store, which I didn't realize until after we booked, but you also don't notice that at all once inside. It is set back a little from the store entrance so it's still very private and cozy. Overall it was a perfect place for my husband and I to stay while celebrating our first anniversary and we would definitely stay here again when visiting the area!

Great 3 Night Stay

Darla was great! Perfect location and couple get-away in Ellison Bay. Walking distance to the water, general store, and bar/restaurant. We stayed close after our daily adventures (winery, Washington Island). We will be back and just may stay here again. Thank you!

Wonderful stay in Ellison Bay

We spent 3 nights here during Fall Festival. It was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The location was perfect - a short walk to a couple restaurants but not in the middle of all the Sister Bay festival traffic. Although we've been coming to Door for many years - Darla gave us some helpful advice on when to avoid the major crowds over the Festival weekend. Only thing that was a little disappointing was no fire allowed in the fireplace. I get it, it can make a mess and if guests don't know how to work a flue it could be a problem. But that was a small thing - really great stay overall!

Perfect experience

I didn't know much about Door County, but couldn't have chosen a better place if I would have spent a month investigating. No bumper-to-bumper traffic or huge crowds, but you're minutes away from all the wonderful attractions in Door County. Very comfortable and relaxing. Neat places steps away. Mink Basin is remarkable with great food and serving neat Wisconsin beers. There's also a nice coffee shop and grocery store steps away. Also a nice park a few minutes away. Couldn't have been better. If this weren't available if we get to come back, I would alter our plans for when it is available.

Perfect getaway for our anniversary!

Our stay at the cottage in Ellison Bay was the perfect spot for our anniversary week trip. The property is well maintained and well equipped with anything you might need. Cute place at a beautiful destination

It was a cute place for my husband and I to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We didn’t realize it was attached to the antique store when booking, but it was very private and comfortable. Ellison Bay was a great place to stay in Door County since it isn’t as big as Sister Bay so it’s quieter. It’s in walking distance to good restaurants and a couple nice coffee shops. It’s a short drive to good hiking and many activities. Great place to stay!

Comfortable and Quiet in Ellison Bay

We really enjoyed our stay in Ellison Bay. Darla was a great host. We went non-stop from morning to late afternoon and never ran out of fun things to do. It was nice to retreat to a comfortable place each evening. The kitchen was adequately equipped so we were able to make our meals and avoid the need to go out for food. The place also has a good collection of tourist information flyers that helped us find some interesting places during our stay (e.g., art studio). Overall, this was a great place to relax.

Anniversary Trip to Door County

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Ellison Bay. This was a kid free anniversary trip for us and we found the property perfect for the two of us. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we took advantage of the stocked board games and dvd collection. The weather was rainy and overcast for most of our 3 day stay, but we stayed very busy hopping all around the county and found the location was great as a home base. We ate next door at the Mink River Basin one night and thought the food was very good. Two coffee shops less than a minute walk and the beach is very close as well.

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay as we wanted to visit Washington Island and Newport State Park, the location was great. We also did a lot in other parts of Door County and the drive was not bad. The host had a lot is information and suggestions.

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay - Darla was an excellent host. It was perfect for an anniversary trip! Great location as it is east to drive anywhere in door county we loved having Ellison Bay as our “home base”. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing I will say is that we were surprised that it was not a standalone home, it is an end unit of a little strip. Connected is another unit and an adorable antique shop. It ended up feeling very private we were just surprised as we drove up.

Fall getaway

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The interior is very clean and well maintained, and our host even popped in for a quick visit after we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. There are coffee shops and a small grocery store very close by (easy walking distance), and of course abundant natural beauty, hiking, restaurants etc. One small note: although this didn’t bother us, those who need to WFH while on vacation might want someplace with a stronger Wi-Fi. It works, but only in the front half of the house and the signal can be spotty. But that’s not what we came for so we weren’t bothered.

Clean, Comfy, and Convenient

Great location in northern Door County. Very clean. Closer to the road than we expected, but no noise/traffic issues and very convenient. Inside is just like the pictures. Would definitely come back.
