If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life then you don't have to look any further. Waves of Grace is a bright, open, and tastefully decorated Edisto Beach cottage located on a large corner lot directly across from beach access. This home was designed with guests in mind, and no detail has been overlooked to ensure your comfort. Enjoy the amenities of the home like a wonderfully equipped kitchen, satellite TV and free WiFi access. The gorgeous open kitchen features granite countertops and top-of-the-line appliances fit for any Lowcountry feast. Relax to views of the ocean from the living/dining/kitchen area which opens onto the spacious covered porch ideal for soaking in the sweet southern evenings. Coastal accents, exceptional furnishings, and fantastic bed arrangements make this home away from home a perfect option for families and small groups. Any worries will drift away with the ocean breeze as you embrace island time!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

  • A very early morning outing at Botany Bay on Edisto Island. I had to start from my hotel at 3 AM to make it to this location before dawn. Botany Bay Plantation is a nature preserve and has regulated visitor hours. Gates open 30 minutes before sunrise - I wish they'd open a little sooner as the golden hour is pretty much more than half way done by the time one can make it to the beach. Nevertheless, it's a great location to visit at sunrise, especially if there are high clouds to add drama. Recommended to visit when the tide is ebbing as you then get the shadows of the trees, which to my eyes add more depth to the image. On this day, there was a bank of low clouds that prevented too much color but it was a great sunrise to witness nonetheless. The trees have so much character and add so much to the image. It's hard to look at the remnants of these trees and not imagine the onslaught they've withstood at the hands of mother nature. #WeekendGetAwayForTheFamily #colorful #USA #weekend #treetrove #blue

Excellent Value

We utilized three VRBOs in close proximity to host an annual corporate retreat. It worked great. The houses we're awesome and the weather was unbelievable.

Worst vacation ever

We arrived at Edisto Island around 1400. Went by Vacasa to see if we could get an early check in. After about ten minutes the woman came back to the window and said that we couldn't check in until 1600. We’ll fine, that’s what the contract said so we proceeded to the property and parked on the street adjacent to Waves of Grace. Most of the family went to the beach. I stayed in my truck. While we were there the cleaning crew arrived around 1445. About 1530 i drove back to Vacasa to see if I could get the keys then. Still not allowed. So I just hung out in their parking area until 1600. Got the keys went back to the property and started the process of moving in. We can’t fault them for not letting us check in early, but the reason became evident when we did get in. The floors were filthy. No way they were moped, vacuumed or even swept. We contacted Vacasa and requested a vacuum so “WE” could clean the floors. After a while they answered our request, saying that a vacuum could not be provided because it was not listed on the amenities for the property. During our.evening meal my son Charles tore his brand new shorts on a nail protruding from the bench. We knocked the nail in and checked for others. The table and benches had big chips and gaps on the edging. Not what one would expect from a high dollar listing. The beds were atrocious, very uncomfortable. The king bed in the master suite was too low and broken down bedding. On checkout day we stripped the bedding as per directed

When we arrived, the water had been turned off at the house & street; maintenance had to come cut it own; the 2 individual heating units downstairs did not work; had to call maintenance took them about 30 mins to get the units operational; this was a house for 14 and we had 1 hair dryer; no one preped the front porch/deck before our arrival; chairs and siding mildewed; the kitchen/den had been upgraded and was very nice. Not sure why u have to stop at realty office to pick up/drop off keys; most rental properties I’m accustomed to have keypad entry,

New Years Eve Stay

This property was just what we were looking for. I was a quick walk to the beach with an access right across the street. Plenty of parking and space for our teenage kids to have space of there own. I liked how the downstairs area was separated. Gave the older kids space of there own. I would recomend this house. We have stayed in many beach houses over the years. This was small for our group but good.

Edisto retreat

The house was very bright and open. We were traveling with a 104 year old, and the elevator made a trip to the place where he grew up possible. The beach access near the home was handicap accessible which was also a added bonus. The location worked out perfectly for us.

The property was lacking in adequate description of 2 bedrooms with “separate entrance”

The rental process/check in with Atwood was quick and efficient. The home was not adequately described in the listing. Our family unit consisted of 5 children ages 10 and under. The “bunk bed room” could only be accessed from the carport and would have required the children to be alone and locked in away from the family unit at their bed time which is long before an adult bed time. The bunk room and adjoining bath and bedroom had very noisy dehumidifiers and small buckets of deodorizer in them. The musty oder was overwhelming and offensive. The windows and bathroom were full of flies and one of the bunk bed sheets had not been changed and was dirty and sandy. The main portion of the home was clean, and open with the most amazing table that easily accommodated our family. The outdoor living space included an amazing porch and lounge furniture. Super easy walk to the beach.

Superb!

Between the location (right across from the beach access), to the what felt like a private road, to the amazing house, perfect front deck, ample room, up-to-date appliances and design, to the great space, we couldn’t have asked for a better property. The only thing I’d note is that there is a separate entrance for the downstairs which may have been in the description but I didn’t catch it. None the less, everything was great! We’ll be going again next spring break.

Perfect Little Getaway

We came for a getaway for a surprise for my wife's birthday. It was an awesome stay. We had an issue with the garbage disposal, they were there within 20 minutes. The kitchen was updated and clean, and we were right near the beach. I was told before the trip that the grocery store in town would be shut down, and planned accordingly. Had it not been for their communication, I would have been in a lot of trouble. We appreciated the heads up and had a great stay. Would definitely recommend.

Family Stay

We rented this house in mid-September for a family gathering to celebrate several September birthdays. The upstairs was beautiful and perfect. The downstairs had a musty smell that keeping the door open or keeping the air circulating really didn't help. Overall the place was wonderful. It is so perfectly close to the public beach access that it almost feels that you on the beach, and not one block off the beach.

Beautiful location

The house was clean and the location was very nice. The house has plenty of space for a small family. We had a small issue with power on one of the rooms but the agent immediately supported with fixing the breaker. We will definitely like to stay at Waves if Grace again.

Great location. Count on 3 bedrooms.

Great location. Really close to beach made it convenient and safe for those with litttles. Upstairs was fantastic. What I didn’t know was that the downstairs was a separate unit completely. No connection to upstairs. So we thought the property was 5 bedrooms and turned into 3 because we had little ones. I would not consider the downstairs unit half as nice as the upstairs. It was pretty musty smelling and painted cindeblock rather than nice drywall like upstairs. Overall the upstairs is fantastic. Nice and spacious. Perfect location for littles. Loved the outside shower. I give it 4 stars because of the downstairs unit being so disappointing.

Christmas Weekend

We stayed in this home the weekend after Christmas. The upstairs was nicely remodeled. I would recommend updating beds as they are no5 very comfortable in any room. As stated in previous reviews the musty smell in the downstairs rooms is still very strong. We ran the air purifier, but it didn’t help. The home is in a very good location across the street from public beach access and a block from Whaley’s.
