The Onset Beach Compound is an equipment inclusive resort with 3 stilt cottages built inside the seashore just inches above sea level (YES these houses flood & require incredible maintenance, this is NOT the holiday inn) on a private beach. Located in the heart of the Cape Cod Canal and in the historic Onset Village, the gateway to Cape Cod, making it the perfect venue and location for travelers and guests to experience all that Cape Cod, Boston, And the Cranberry Region has to offer. One of the world’s most famous fisheries, Massachusetts Largest water-park, The Cape Cod Canal Cruise, historic sites like the “Summer White House”, and over 30 local restaurants within walking distance, Onset Village has activities for everyone of all ages.
A Managed Private Vacation Resort: The OBC is hosted and managed by “#StayHere Exclusive Experience Hosts” for a room fee commission of 40%. Our hosts create the best possible experiences for our guests, as well as act as Trip-advisors to guests, utilizing our first hand knowledge of Cape Cod. The #StayHere hosts design and install “Experience Packages” and “Experience Furnishings” into each cottage.
An “Experience Package” is a Custom made package with unique gifts, games, Arts & Crafts, s’mores ingredients, and or fun activities that are ready to be enjoyed upon arrival to your cottage. These packages are updated every change over and follow the seasonal tone.
“Experience Packages” - An experience Package is a custom made surprise packaged in some form of an apparatus (Bag, Box, Bucket, Etc) with directions and supplies to complete the activity or adventure within the package. Often the package is art based and guests are expected to bring the objects home as a “Prize”. Each E.P is documented with a # on a E.P map. Subject to season and availability.
“Experience Furnishings”- An Experience furnishing is an Exclusive object, Game, Or activity that isn't kept in a package but is placed in a particular location as a “furnishing” within a cottage. Each E.F is documented with a # on a E.F map. Subject to season and availability.

The resort features a multitude of inclusive “Resort Experiences” that are provided and maintained for our guests regularly.
“Resort Experiences” - An experience NOT private to each individual cottage. This would be the equivalent of “Common space”. - see resort maps to distinguish between “Resort Experiences / Common Space” and “Private Cottage Rental Space”
“The OBC Spa, Hot Tub, & Outdoor Shower”: Hours: 10:00AM - 9:00PM - 8 person chlorine Spa / Lounge Open Daily and all year round - Our resort Hot tub is constantly drained and refilled with our endless hot water supply. The hot tub is lightly treated with chlorine.
Outdoor shower Located at the main entrance of the resort on the corner of the “Studio Office” & Mermaid House there is an outdoor shower enclosure with Endless Hot water. The shower is well drained and well placed for privacy and ease of access.
“Kilian’s Locker on Glen Cove” Hours: 10:00AM - 5:00PM - Wet storage & Beach Asset Management at sea level. Storage for 12 reservable kayaks, 3 canoe's, 1 paddle board, fishing tackle, Shell Fishing Gear, Life vests, Chairs, and other Beach/Oceanic essentials.
“The Compound’s Green, Gardens, & Verb Arena” Hours: 10:00AM - 8:00PM - The Compounds greens and gardens are landscaped with vegetation that is edible. A “Food Forest” in the making featuring Blueberry bushes, Rhubarb, Peach Tree, Plum Tree, Raspberry Bush, Strawberry Vine, Misc Veggies and Herbs, and more to come! The Green & Gardens are also home to the assets that make up the “Verb Arena”. These Verb Arena assets include: An Pool Table, Foosball, Bubble Hockey, Darts, Corn Hole, Can Jam, Giant Jenga, Giant Connect 4,Giant Checkers, and Mini Golf. These Assets are constantly under maintenance and improvement and access to such can change without notice. The greens and Verb Arena close at 8PM daily to allow the resort to transition into “quiet hours”. These games can be loud and disruptive out of operation hours and our staff is strict with the rules. Assets are Typically Locked to the ground and guests are not permitted to move them for ANY reason out of the designated operation space due to fire code.
“The Compounds Boat Landing on Broad Cove” - Hours: 7:00AM - 5:00PM - on the Broad cove side of the compound the land juts into Broad Cove. This Landings seawall falls on the oceans Mean High Tide water line. Meaning the oceans water is at this point MORE often than not. This allows easy access into boats similar to a dock. Our landing has 3 Clothesline Mooring systems. This style of boat anchoring / mooring system allows vessels to “beat the tide”. Our landing has 2 pedal boats, 2 row boats. The Boats are kept without engines, But the resort has several gas & electric propeller engines that can be provided by request - if available. Assets can change availability without notice and can be closed without prior notice.
“The Glen Cove Oceanic Natural Habitat @ The Onset Beach Compound” - The Compound is built within the natural resource area and a large area of the beach side of the resort is a protected aquatic habitat. This habitat is home to many animals ranging from fox, mice, Gulls, Ducks, Geese, Osprey, Blue Herring, Giant Sunfish, Guppies, Various Shell-fish, Crabs and Blue Crabs, Turtles, amongst other aquatic species. “The #PlayHere - Park & Rec Unit Road Trailer” Hours: 7:00AM - 5:00PM located on street side of the resort.- The Compounds road trailer is home to the resorts 3 Yamaha Electric Bikes with 40 mile batteries , 3 Road bicycles, Air pumps and bike supplies, Ice Skates, Rollerblade's, Tennis balls and rackets, Basketballs, Baseballs and catching gear, FULL hockey gear, croquet, Horseshoes, badminton, and other Parks and Recs equipment all to be enjoyed at the several parks and common grounds around the village.(See Resort Maps for Info) Guests have inclusive access to reserve any Assets inclusive with Resort Accommodation. - The road trailer is also home to the “Disney Doomsday Quad Bike” of which guests can reserve assets in the same manner as the E-Bikes or other assets. - Reservations for #PlayHere Assets at www.PlayHereCapeCod.com`
“The Compounds Beach” - Hours: 7:00AM - 8:00PM - Referred to as “Beach Level” due to the various elevations of “The OBC”. Safe for children the beach is hand serviced by rake several times a week, policing for glass, hooks, & other dangerous debris. The sandy area is roughly 1500sq/ft @ Mean High Water to 2500sq/ft @ low tides. The HIGH TIDE is 6’ ft above sea level - LOW TIDE is 0’ Sea Level - MAX TIDE SWING = 6’FT. The Entire beach can be under water @ Tides deeper then 4’ft. Guests and locals swim at the beach every day. At a 3’FT tide the water depth is knee level in front of the resort's open sandy beach area.Making it the PERFECT beach for children. Toward Broad Cove, The Waters in front of the “OBC Boat Landing” have a drop off that averages 7’FT - 14’FT of depth at tides above 3’FT. Several locals swim across the cove and back to “The OBC Beach” every morning. The Beaches waters are protected by the land that forms the cove. Creating pond-like waves in an ocean environment.

“The Flamingo House Experience” The Flamingo House is a small cottage that sleeps upto 12 people inside 3.5 bedrooms. (NO ADDITIONAL OCCUPANCY - NO EXCEPTION)
The MASTER BEDROOM / Captains Quarters Queen bed is a “Nectar” Brand bed with a headboardless bed frame in front of a 35” Smart TV hung from the ceiling.The ceilings are vaulted and the space is cottage style With incredible views through a HUGE 5’ Window to Glen Cove. This bedroom has its own Through Wall AC , a “LoveSac” Brand Bean bag and an Antique School Desk and chair in front of the BEST view of the house!
The GUEST BEDROOM / Quartermaster Suite Has a queen bed on a headboardless bed frame. The bedroom features a view to the gardens of the park in front of the resort. The room has its own through wall AC
The Hallway room / Sleeping loft Has a Queen Size Mattress and is the perfect spot for the kids. The space can be closed off with a curtain for privacy.
The BUNK-BED BEDROOM / Kids Quarters The room has two Twin XL beds in bunk bed formation. With easy to clean wood floors this space is the perfect bedroom for the teens and adults in your group.
The BATHROOM / Head is a small bathroom just like you'd expect from a boat with a stand up shower with a 50 gallon electric hot water supply. shower and bath stocked with bathroom essentials such as shampoo, Body wash, conditioner, soaps, lotions, bug spray,Sun tan lotion, Anti Acids, and 12 bath towels & face cloths
The KITCHEN & DINING ROOM / BAR A Small tight but functional kitchen, 4 gas burner stove, and Small gas oven located in the back of the cottage with view to the private back yard and flamingo drive way .The kitchen has a lobster pot, full set of pots/pans and baking supplies. The house is always stocked with easy to access plastic ware in the cabinets. Otherwise the cabinets are EMPTY to allow space for food storage. Existing within a natural habitat, any food left out will encourage wild animal visitors. They roam legitimately under the houses as they live here, if they smell food, they will “break in. Utilize the Tupperware and pantry space in cabinets provided. - Corkscrews, can openers, Keurig's, Kitchen towels, cleaning supplies and paper towels are stocked - pressure cooker, and crock-pots can be available upon request.
“The Flamingo Sun Deck BAR” In Between The kitchen and the sundeck the wall has a granite-top Bar built into it. This bar is a favorite of many guests, it allows the kitchen to function as a social gathering area. The bar has games furnished on the stool side, while on the kitchen side the bar features easy to access shelving with margarita and beer glasses on custom bar shelves and a X liquor rack to store “the supply” appropriately .
“The Flamingo Sun Deck” - The front most beach side of the flamingo house is the sundeck. This is where you will find 12 beach towels and cuddle Blankets, a variety of board games from puzzles to scrabble to “Cards against Humanity”, & our telescope to peep the night sky. Even on a rainy cold day the Sun Deck provides continued entertainment and a space to relax close to the ocean just inches above sea level With a Queen Futon beside a large mahogany wood electric fireplace that provides homey vibes and great warmth to whomever is lucky enough to claim this sleeping area! The space can also be closed off for privacy utilizing curtains Creating another sleeping room.
The LIVING ROOM / The Road View Lounge & Deck - A 55” Smart TV utilizes Roku and has Netflix access. in front of a Queen Pull out couch. Step out the front door to enjoy two rocking chairs and enjoy the front stoop sitting on old east blvd. The deck hides behind two leyland Cypress trees and provides great views of the park and passing pedestrians. Many guests have told us how much they enjoy the road side deck.
The Flamingo House Back Yard The best part of the flamingo house is the private back yard! Away from the other two cottages the flamingo house has a sense of privacy the other two cottages don't. The sundeck's sliding door provides access to a small deck that steps down to a small area with a outdoor 2 burner grille , 4 person high top table, and a small propane fire pit surrounded by bean bags. With spectacular views of Glen Cove and the Aquatic Habitat. The sundeck can be enjoyed 24 hours a day as long as it's within sound ordinance restrictions.


Parking/Arrival - All doors on the property are locked and require a key code entry that is changed after every stay. Guests are allowed up-to TWO vehicles MAX with NO EXCEPTION. Each cottage has 1 private driveway reserved for each cottage that can fit one car in it, and ONE directly behind the driveway on the road NOT blocking the sidewalk. At NO TIME are OBC guests allowed to park ANYWHERE on the road in front of neighbors houses etc. Violators of our parking policy will be towed, Fined, and removed from the property without refund.
