    3rd Bedroom - Queen Beds (2nd level shared Bathroom with Shower/Tub)There are three spacious bedrooms featuring one California king bed, one king bed, and one queen bed, where guests find the comfort of home away from home to relax. The space is thoughtfully and beautifully furnished with big plush Pendleton spa towels and comforters for you to snuggle up into.

    Stay cool inside with an efficient home that keeps the space comfortable no matter the season. Whether you’re gathering in the open living areas or resting after a day of adventure, this farmhouse provides a comfortable and inviting retreat. The home has two Toto bidets, an outdoor barrel sauna, a workout room, a projector with Sonos surround sound, an air filtration system, and an in-home bluetooth music/speaker system. There are 2 different outdoor decks to enjoy your coffee on.

    The location cannot be beat. It is conveniently located in a quiet cul-de-sac next to 3 different trail systems. All of this with an easy bike into town or walk to restaurants on North Main. This home sits just two miles north of downtown Durango, a short distance to Animas Mountain Trail, Overend Mountain Park, Colorado Trail, and the paved Animas River Trail. The Animas River trail runs the entire length of town along the river, making for easy commuting to parks, restaurants, a day spa and other downtown destinations, as well providing an excellent fitness and scenery corridor. Enjoy your time in Durango at our farmhouse, where comfort meets charm.

    *Please note that tenants do not have access to the mailbox at the property. It is easy to get a PO Box at the Post Office.
    Please note that most properties are outfitted with outdoor security cameras. We honor your privacy. These cameras are for the safety of the property only.

    One small dog is allowed. Inquire for the consideration of other dogs please.

    Since this is a medium-term rental, we will send a standard lease agreement, collect a security deposit (It will not be deducted from your account, simply held, unless there are damages at the end. We’ve not had to collect anything yet). The process is seamless and is for the protection of both parties.

My family stayed at this property for 5 weeks, including two wild boys and a dog. The house is in a great location in a walkable community off Junction Creek, very close to town, the fairgrounds, and the North Durango area. If you keep driving past the house, you will find yourself in the San Juan National Park. Tons of hiking trailheads close by and no shortage of beautiful scenery. Walks with the dog were amazing. This house itself is well-appointed with a modern farmhouse feel. The owners have excellent style. No AC in the overall house, but there is an AC unit upstairs in the master bedroom, which takes a little getting used to coming from TX. The nights are cool and the days warm, so there are protocols that you learn around when to keep the windows open and when to close to keep the cool night air in the home. There is a barrel sauna in the back that was great. The backyard is fenced in, so your pooch can run around. The workout facility in the garage is also solid, but I chose to join Catacombs fitness downtown during my stay if you want an elevated class experience. No traditional TVs, but we got used to the projector TV setup, which worked out well for the World Cup. This was a great base camp. I was able to work during the day in two convenient office areas in the house while my boys experienced local camps and Durango fun with my wife. We did tons during our stay, and I would highly recommend this as a longer-term rental.
