The Fika, pronounced “fee-kuh”, meaning "a coffee break”, is a Scandinavian inspired second story 2-bedroom condo located minutes from Downtown Duluth and Canal Park, where views of the Clock Tower, Lift Bridge and Lake Superior can be enjoyed while sipping your coffee outside on the terrace. The inside of the condo features simple and sophisticated decor inspired by the "hegge" lifestyle. This theme focuses on comfort, contentment and conviviality, or a feeling of friendliness. Nice place

Very clean modern space. Plenty of room for 4 adults. Not much in immediate walking distance, everything downhill so it's a walk uphill to get back from Canal Park or downtown area. We drove everywhere, it was pretty easy. Parking was great, underground parking spot was a bonus.

Convenient location

The property was close to canal park, a food co-op and a short drive to Spirit Mountain where my son participated in a mountain bike race. I spent time at the Lake Superior zoo near Spirit to occupy the 2 year old. There were a lot of stairs so in and out with gear was challenging. Was

I wish they had an earlier check in time. Since we were staying for a couple of days we had groceries that had to be kept cold and a cooler only stays cold for so long. And we were traveling from Minneapolis, so we had to time our arrival to check in. You could ask for an earlier check in but was not guaranteed. The early check out was also not ideal but you could ask for a later check out for a fee, but it was not guaranteed. I thought I had already paid enough for the stay, so we planned on being out by 10:00 am. I would say this location is good for being close to DT attractions and dining options. However, the streets around the condo carry a lot of traffic. There is a hospital down the street, so we heard multiple sirens going by. The balcony was nice but you cannot see the view sitting in the chairs provided as they are too low to the ground and you cannot see through the railing. Unfortunately upon arrival we found the bathtub was not clean, nor were the floors. We did notify someone but they basically just apologized and did not seem overly concerned and so I said we were going to clean up the mess ourselves. We had a 16 month old child with who had some toys that usually end up on the floor at some point. My expectation was for floors and bathtub to be clean, which they were not. I also provided a picture of what was swept up in my room as proof. Once again just an apology. Kitchen was well equipped. We used the stove, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher.

Very Comfortable Stay

The property is very comfortable, well stocked and immaculate. Wonderful view of Lake Superior and wish the weather was nicer to utilize the deck. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful views!

We were here for a weekend tournament down at the DECC and this was a great rental for that purpose! A few minutes from door to door, comfy beds, well stocked, thoughtfully appointed, and a wonderful sunny views!

Enjoyable Stay!

This property is very comfortable and clean! It offered everything we needed. The description noted that the unit was on the second floor which was fine, but it is not for anyone who is slightly handicapped as there are quite a few steps. We loved the view of the clock tower and Lake Superior from the front deck! Thanks for everything!
