"I am writing this to address your defensive and inaccurate response. I have documented proof of my experience that directly contradicts your claims:
The Deposit: I have the receipt proving that a cash deposit was demanded. For a solo traveler, being forced to pay an unexpected cash deposit is unprofessional and stressful.
The State of Room 114: I stand by every word. Anyone can walk into Room 114 and see the massive concrete wall inches from the window and smell the foul, lingering odor. Giving a guest the worst room in the hotel and then calling their description ‘misleading’ is dishonest.
The Service: My nephew was a witness to the entire encounter. Your claim that the Duty Manager 'personally offered assistance' is false. I was left to struggle with heavy luggage alone after my help was barred from the floor, which is why the situation became distressing.
It is disappointing that instead of apologizing for the poor hygiene and lack of service, you chose to attack the guest. I was so uncomfortable that I chose to lose my prepaid money and leave immediately rather than stay in such a depressing environment. I have kept my receipts and will be escalating this matter to the Al Khoory corporate office.
