  • Extra-Large Apartment in a villa (directly across from the pergola-covered entrance with four slate steps; a furnished jasmine pergola measuring 4x3 meters; private grounds with cypress trees, pittosporum, and jacaranda trees. exterior stone walls): split-level with an internal staircase made of local slate and iron handrails. Living-dining room with original furnishings (including an old icebox) and colorful fabric armchairs, large windows overlooking the valley and the sea, a magical pergola-covered terrace covered in Banxia roses with a yellow iron table; fully equipped kitchen; bedroom with a small balcony and a custom-built built-in closet; bathroom with a bathtub. Upstairs: two double attic bedrooms, a small courtyard terrace with cacti and a sea view, a living room in the old tower-style dovecote with arched windows, sofas, and a large antique birdcage, and a bathroom with a shower.

We spent a wonderful week in Diano Castello. Silvia is a charming host and was always available when we needed to ask her something. The appartment is quiet and comfortable, with a stunning view on all sides, and with a prívate terrace to enjoy the evenings (and the stars at night!), and the pool is a treat to cool off from the summer heat All commodities are nearby, 5 minutes driving to the grocery store...10 min to the beach front. This was definitely a good choice to come to Silvia's house, 100% recommended!

This is a great apartment. 3 Double beds plus 2 day beds and a small sofa bed downstairs. Host very friendly and helpful. Site shared with apartment below, so you might be occasionally sharing the pool. Given the terraced nature of the land around here the pool is a bit above the house so if you had small children you would not be able to see them from the house. Pool is bigger than it looks. The driveway is very steep. You are just outside the town of Diano Castello which is about a 5 minute walk away. There's a bit there including a nice cafe with views to the sea (we went there a lot) and a restaurant at the other end of town (we did not go there). There are a number of churches worth a look and you can also take in a game of Sferico (a kind of tennis/handball cross) as you pass the local court on the way in. The cafe has a tiny shop. Diano Marina is about a 10 minute drive (mostly due to windy roads). There are a few supermarkets there - Besko is on the way into town and is a bit cheaper than PAM which is further away. Diano Marina is a fairly typical beach town with a good pedestrianised area with shops, cafes, restaurants etc. The seafront is also typical for the area mostly covered with "beach clubs" where you have to pay and small areas of public beach which are fine. Imperia is a bigger city about 15 minutes more away. Similar vibe. Big garden full of flowers

Comfortable and beautiful views

We had a wonderful time, the house is well divided so that everyone had their own private space. It is also well equipped and caters all the needs of a large family. There is a lot of light and fresh breeze comes in through very window. The host were incredible friendly it was a real pleasure.
