Quintessential Dewey Beach Cottage-1.5 Blocks to the Beach


Comfortable spacious two bedroom cottage 1 1/2 blocks to the beach. House sleeps 6 with 2 private bedrooms, a queen bed in one and a full and twin bed in the other. The living room has a pullout sofa as well, which sleeps 2, and a 50" smart tv with internet. Off street parking is along the fence for 2-3 vehicles - one car in front of the other for this unit. Park your car and walk everywhere.

This property has 2 homes on it. This is the back unit overlooking the large, shared back yard which has outside showers, barbecues, and seating. There are 4 Daiken split units inside for cooling and heating along with 2 ceiling fans for comfort. There is a full kitchen with all the amenities, including both a Keurig and a regular coffee maker. This past year, this home was off the market and we invested over $20k to encapsulate the crawl space utilizing sump pumps and dehumidifiers to assure a comfortable environment in the cottage.

Check in is 3 PM, Check Out is 10 AM. Bring towels, linens, blankets and paper products/consumables (toilet paper/paper towels/trash bags, soaps etc) Pillows, mattress pads, and bedspreads are provided.

While propane is not guaranteed, we will reimburse with receipt if previous tenant used it all up. Please be safe and do not use grill against house. Please leave grill in clean condition.

We have 3 cameras installed outside in the common areas of the property - one at the parking, one at the back yard, and one on the east side of the cottage. This is for security purposes only. No smoking/ vaping of any substance inside the home.

Great location!!! Minutes (walking) to restaurants, bars, fast food, coffee shop, town park, bay, shopping and entertainment. One mile to the Rehoboth Boardwalk and Funland with very reasonably priced rides for kids. Pick up the Jolly Trolley into Rehoboth at the north corner of Saulsbury and rt 1. Park your car and never move it. Rehoboth Shopping Outlets 1-2 miles away. Lots of fine dining in Rehoboth.

We will provide a 4 digit code to enter and exit the cottage.

Cute home, great location.

The home was clean and cute. Location is a perfect. The only thing I wished was to have a small bench, table, or a shelf right at your level at the bathroom sink. There was no place to put any toiletries, etc. A small narrow bench under the towel rack would help, especially a place to put your change of clothes while showering. Overall, cute place, great location and the owner, Liz, was great.

Great Location

This two bedroom is located in a fantastic location. The property manager was very accessible and handled our concerns (clogged toilet and breaker replacement) very quickly. Could not have been more satisfied with their customer service. I give it a 3, because there was an extremely heavy must smell that would not go away (some damp-rid, strategically placed would help greatly). The bedrooms could use some TLC

Get what you pay for

The property was fine for what it was (a place to lay your head in between trips to the beach). On the negative side this property has termites, I noticed mouse droppings behind the couch ( one of my kids dropped something back there I didn’t go looking), and the ants were horrible!! The only reason I’m giving this property higher than a two is because of its proximity to the beach. This place might be good for a couple staying over a weekend but not a family staying for several days. Pay a couple hundred more and find a property that is pest free!

Pros: Excellent location to beach and restaurants. Private parking. Cozy. Host was very informative and congenial. Cons: Could use better kitchen refinements/necessities i.e. pots/pans if one decides to prepare meals. Uncertain whether local ordinance prohibits kitchen grinder but certainly could use one.

Great house!

The owner Liz was great to work with. Anytime I needed to contact her, she responded fairly quickly. The house is in prime location for walking everywhere in Dewey. Most items in the house are updated, which is a plus when you compare to others within this range. I definitely would recommend this house to create your own Dewey experience.

Awesome beach cottage!

We had a group of 6 and the house was exactly what we were looking for, in a great location. The house has a big backyard which we used daily as well as an outdoor shower and grill! We found the sun room to be perfect for holding our beach stuff. Liz is an amazing host and was quick to reply when we had questions! 10/10 recommend this place to others and would love to stay here again.
